One of our favorite areas of the city. Anchored by an amazing Food Hall, the area offers a great selection of restaurants, bars, a gin distillery and more. Check out St. Anselm for a cozy meal, or have a drink at O-Ku. For an amazing Italian sub, don't miss Litteri's in the old market.
Nationals Park
If you come in an evening early, you'll have a chance to check out World Series Champions the Washington Nationals! The park anchors the neighborhood our wedding is in, so take advantage of all the bars, restaurants and parks in the area.
National Portrait Gallery
One of the most beautiful gallery spaces in the city. We love bringing John and Marie here for lunch in the Kogod Courtyard.
Georgetown
The neighborhood where Heather and Rich met is full of cafes, shops, a charming streets. Spend a few hours exploring DC's most vibrant neighborhoods.
Martin's Tavern, Est 1933
While in Georgetown, pop into this charming tavern. It's one of our favorite places to squeeze into a both or have a beer at the bar!
District Wharf
Spend some time in DC's newest neighborhood. Enjoy an afternoon on the water, or see the monuments by ferry on your way to Georgetown.
John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Visit the site of our third date! We came for a jazz concert and missed the entire show as we got to know each other in the lobby. This date was the game changer! The Kennedy Center has performances nearly every day. Stop in to admire one of the most interesting buildings in DC.
Washington Monument
There are so many amazing things to see and do in DC. If you haven't visited in a while, strolling around the monuments is a great way to spend an afternoon.
