Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

This is a beach wedding with a relaxed beachy vibe, so no fancy dress code, here! Just remember it's the beach, it's August, and it's probably really hard to walk on sand in really high heels. Same goes for you, men! (We hope you weren't considering high heels to begin with, though!)

Question

Are shoes required?

Answer

We're so glad you asked! Shoes are optional! We have no qualms with you kickin em' off if you'd prefer to feel the famous florida panhandle white sand between your toes during our beach ceremony. As a matter of fact, we encourage it! You can toss em’ back on after for dinner on the sunset deck!

Question

Where are the ceremony and dinner held?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the beach in front of Runaway Island Bar and Grill. Dinner will follow on the Sunset Deck of Runaway Island. We're not having so much of a "reception" as we are a simple joyous gathering and celebration. You can look forward to an intimate dinner with gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico while ordering drinks and items of your choice off of the Runaway Island menu (at no cost to you). Cake will of course follow dinner, duh. See the "travel" tab for directions!

Question

Are my kids or plus ones allowed?

Answer

Due to the nature of our intimate wedding and limited venue space & seating - we're hoping you'll be able to snag a sitter so you can come celebrate with us kid free for a night! Your invitation should indicate the number of seats that have been reserved for you and yours.

Question

Any festivities to follow dinner?

Answer

The bride & groom have to be up super early to catch a flight to Mexico (our honeymoon destination!) in the morning, but we hope to continue the festivities just a little longer if you'd like to join in on some drinks at the bar after, or venture out elsewhere with us - TBD!

Question

What time should we arrive to the venue?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 6 pm, so plan to arrive a little earlier to take your seat on the beach. Tourist traffic is heavy in August, so make sure you give yourself enough time to get there. It’s a chill wedding, so you’ll be able to seat yourself wherever you like! Feel free to check in with the hostess desk when you enter the restaurant and they can direct you to the boardwalk that leads to the beach. If you arrive before you’re ready to take a seat, you can grab a drink at the bar!
