Micah and Hayley met on the dating site Hinge despite all odds that it would be just another evening better spent at home. But just as they say, it all happens when you least expect it. Hayley’s first sight of Micah was him dashing through the rain to meet her at Stinky’s Fish Camp on 30A. There was a long wait, so they went to Craft Bar instead - In true Micah fashion, he was very talkative, and Hayley, who worked nightshift at the time - had much less to say out of exhaustion. Though not uninterested, she wasn't neccesarily smitten on the first date, either. However, Micah caught Hayley’s attention when he mentioned “all you can eat sushi”. And just like that, he’d locked in a second date. Little did they know, this sushi restaurant would become a special staple they’d frequent for months to come. The next night, she met him at Jin Jin Fusion for sushi - and a light switch came on! You could say this was the night that they both knew something was there. Funnily enough, Micah suggested going to Okinawa for their honeymoon plain as day - "Oh, we're getting married?" Hayley asked. If only they knew....or maybe they somehow did! Hayley left for a trip to visit her family in South Carolina the day after, saw Micah as soon as she got back to Florida - and... the rest was history!

About 9 months later, Hayley came home from her second day at her new job, had barely walked through the door - and while still clad in scrubs and rambling on about a hole in her sock, Micah said he had two options for dinner: “What?” “Sushi....or will you marry me?” While Micah stood with an open box and ring Hayley stood there in awe, completely caught off guard. After she finally uttered out a “yes” after multiple “really?” ‘s and “are you serious?” ‘s, with a rose gold diamond ring on her finger (which Micah had been refining the details of in the prior months, little did Hayley know) , off they went to their favorite aforementioned sushi place to eat and celebrate!! Micah had asked Hayley's father for permission at Christmas, and although family knew for a while before she did ...she had a feeling, but thought maybe she was crazy! Micah couldn't have surprised her more, though, she never saw it coming when it happened. Some may say that 9 months is not long enough to know if you want to marry somebody, but we believe that God meant for us to be together. Sometimes it really rings true that when you know, you know!

Hayley and Micah live with their doggo Artoo, bunny Blue, and new puppo Freya in their new house in Panama City Beach, Florida on the beautiful Florida gulf coast, and look forward to officially being the Gomez family on August 13th! We have no doubt that God arranged us to meet at exactly the right time and gifted us a best friend for life, and we are so excited to tie the knot in His presence.
