You might think we met at Clemson. Wrong. You might be thinking well it must have been in Charlotte. Also Wrong. Chris worked for his (unbeknownst at the time) future father in law, also Chris, for two years at JPMorgan and then many years and one Irish Pub later here we are.
The obvious answer is Death Valley. Memorial Stadium is right on campus and is one of the most iconic stadiums in the land, with one of the most famous rocks in the USA. Bowman Field and Tillman Hall will be front and center on your drive in, and the rest of our beautiful Alma Mater is easily walkable from both the James Martin Inn and from Downtown.
If Clemson had an official drink this would be it. Can be found at TigerTownTavern or Study Hall. It's Frozen, it's Orange, and we advise caution if you decide to have more than one. Strong would be an understatement. If Frozen Orange concoctions aren't your thing, venture over to TDs and order a Clemson Goodnight. Don't watch them make it, just enjoy Clemson's other signature cocktail.
Can't go wrong with Loose Change, Backstreets or TDs.
It's going to be HOT. Summer in SC is no joke, so stay hydrated! If you are staying at the James Martin Inn (where both the venue and the block of rooms are) it has a nice pool and poolside bar to cool off! There is also of course Lake Hartwell.
