Harden-Oleka Union

Brittany and Eric first met in 2012 when Brittany was on the women’s basketball team at William Paterson University and Eric was an athletic training student. They would exchange friendly hello’s and casual jokes for 3 years as just two college students trying to figure out their futures. In fall 2014, they started sharing work shifts at the recreation center at William Paterson University. In spring 2015, the director at the recreation center sent out a list of coworker’s phone numbers. On January 27th, 2015 Brittany sent Eric a text message to exchange phone numbers and from that day forward they never spent a day out of each other’s lives.

I knew for a long time that Brittany was the one for me. She challenges me in ways that no one else can. As far as the proposal, I knew I wanted to make it special because she deserves it plus more. I wanted it intimate and full of love because that’s what she personifies. She’s the hardest worker I know and inspires me to be a better man each and every day. She is my travel partner, therapist, and best friend. I truly want to give her the world and this is just the beginning. The proposal is just the beginning of this journey we call life.
