Question

When should I expect an invitation?

Answer

Physical invitations will be sent out in July. From there you can RSVP here on the website in the RSVP tab.

Question

How and when should I RSVP?

Answer

Upon receiving an invitation in the mail, please click the RSVP tab here on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here to mark as "will attend" or "will not attend". Please RSVP before October 29th. All RSVPs received after this date will be marked as declining; we will be sending a final headcount to our vendors following this deadline.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity at our venue, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. All invited members of your party will appear in the RSVP form. We look forward to celebrating with our closest friends and family!

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While we love your kids, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding. This pertains to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, kids, and teens.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The attire is semi-formal. If you choose to coincide with the color theme of the wedding, then opt for some warm neutral tones.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony will be outdoors and the Reception will be indoors.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

No, we have not reserved blocks of rooms at the venue to give guests more flexibility to choose accommodation that fits their budget. If you wish to stay at the venue please call 06 236 5041 or email stay@castaways.co.nz and mention that your party wants to stay for the wedding of Hannah and Joshua and wish to get the wedding rates.

Is there going to be a shuttle service?

Answer

Yes, we will provide a shuttle service if you are staying in Waiuku. They will make a few stops at various accommodations we've recommended for you to stay (The Roost, The Kentish, and Waiuku Motor Lodge). There will be a set pickup/dropoff time that we will communicate with you closer to the date. Please let us know if you choose to use this service. Otherwise, a taxi service must be arranged beforehand.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4pm so we advise guests arrive at 3:30.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a car park right near the entrance of the venue. If you are utilizing the accommodation at the venue, there is a separate car park with a golf buggy service to shuttle you around.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Short answer, Yes! A bar tab for beer and wine is provided by the bride and groom and is expected to last all night. However, a cash bar is available for spirits/hard alcohol.
