The Twilight Bike Race is a HUGE event that happens yearly in Athens, Georgia. This year, the bike race falls on our wedding weekend! While this event will affect traffic patterns and parking, it’s a ton of fun to experience! You may not consider yourself a bike-race enthusiast, but people travel all over the country to watch and participate in this event. You’ll find food vendors, beer-gardens, and live music all over downtown Athens. If you want to experience Athens like a local, check this out on Friday and Saturday!
Hannah's alma mater and the place that pays the bills. Go Dawgs!
Home of the back-to-back National Champs. Don't be shy - walk onto the deck and grab a photo in front of this beauty!

Coffee shop by day, pub by night! Great local spot downtown for a cup of joe (or something else).
Another Athens classic... there are several locations, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The biscuits and jam will not disappoint!
A southern classic.. Duck fat tater tots and fried chicken. Any questions?
Our favorites: house made pimento cheese and french fries with garlic aioli

Located 5 minutes from downtown Athens. One of Hannah's favorites!
The historic home of the "State Normal School" circa 1890s. Normaltown is quirky and charming - we love it for its townie culture and dive bars. Check out Hi-Lo, Normal Bar, Sips Cafe, Agua Linda, and our favorite: Automatic Pizza!
Brad's favorite slice in Athens! Pro tip: ask to have the pizza delivered to Normal Bar two doors down. Grab a drink at the bar, play some darts, and enjoy your pizza at one of our favorite dives!
Under no circumstances should you leave Athens without getting white chocolate bread pudding from Saucehouse. This place has great food, and an even better patio. It's also within walking distance of the wedding venue!

With 80 bars in a single square mile, Athens has more bars per capita than any other city in the United States... Allgood Lounge is one of our favorites!
Like a good dive bar? Or old beer can collections? Manhattan Cafe is the spot for you. Act like a local and enjoy a beverage in this small, dimly-lit bar. #RIPOrt
Great outdoor patio and the occasional food truck or live band. Brad's go-to: Classic City Lager
Great beer garden and strong drinks. What more could you need?
