The White Mountains have been an important and formative part of both Hank and Delaney’s lives. As a child, Hank enjoyed many trips to New Hampshire, especially with Boy Scouts learning a variety of wilderness survival skills (which certainly came in handy on Hank and Delaney’s adventures up north together). After he got out of the Marine Corps, Hank spent 3 weeks camping near Lincoln with his dog Remington. Together, they conquered 18 of the 4000-footers, and repeated a couple of their favorites multiple times! In 2001, Delaney’s parents bought a time share at The Mountain Club on Loon. Since then, she and her family have skied every season at Loon Mountain in the winter. Her whole extended family would even plan a long ski weekend there to all enjoy the fun together. During the summer, Delaney and her family would go up to hike, visit the numerous waterfalls and scenic views of the White Mountains, and hang out at The Mountain Club pool. Since they have been together, Hank and Delaney have shared many fun weekends skiing at Loon, hiking in the White Mountains, camping in below freezing weather, and creating so many memories with each other. The best was the hike up the very steep trail at Cannon in 80 degree, 85% humidity conditions. After pouring rain the entire second half of the hike, the clouds parted and the weather cleared up just as Hank got down on one knee to propose! Delaney’s dad used to joke with her about Loon being the perfect place for a wedding. Time to make that a reality!
The ceremony will be held at the outdoor amphitheater at the summit of Loon Mountain. Please bring your hiking boots - it is approximately a 3.5 hour, 5 mile hike to the top. Please plan your time accordingly to ensure you have enough time for the trek. Just kidding! There is a gondola to take you up to the top of Loon. The ride is approximately 12 minutes long. Please be mindful to ensure you have plenty of time to make it to the amphitheater for the start of the ceremony.
If you are staying at The Mountain Club, you can exit the hotel to the back lawn. Take a right down the hill to the base lodge. The entrance to the gondola is right at the bottom of the hill. If you are staying elsewhere and will be driving to the venue, the address for Loon Mountain is 60 Loon Mountain Road, Lincoln, NH. You will cross over a bridge and take a left once you enter the Mountain Resort. The parking area is immediately to your right. You can walk up to the main lodge from there.
You can pick up your gondola pass directly from the lift attendant at the loading area for the gondola. Just let them know you are a guest of the Douglas-Krantz wedding! Your pass will give you access up the gondola for the entire day. If you would like to go up to the summit prior to the wedding ceremony, you are welcome to do so. You are only issued one pass per person, so just make sure not to lose the pass so that you can use it to get back up to the top for the start of the ceremony!
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside at the top of Loon Mountain. Guests will be taken up in a 12 minute gondola ride. The cocktail hour will be held on the patio outside the Octagon Lodge at the base of the mountain. Lastly, our reception will be held inside the Octagon Lodge. You will have the option to head back out onto the outdoor patio throughout the night if desired. There is a fire pit outside to warm up if it is a little chilly!
Please plan for cocktail attire - suits with ties and cocktail or full length dresses. You will likely want to wear comfortable shoes that you can walk around the top of the mountain in - as well as good dancing shoes! We recommend that you bring a shawl or light jacket in case it is breezy at the summit.
You are welcome to take as many photos as you would like before and after the ceremony, however please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We would like to keep the ceremony free of electronic devices so that guests can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the nature around them. We have a wonderful photographer that will be capturing all of the moments from the ceremony.
We would appreciate it if you could RSVP by July 1, 2025. The RSVP section is currently unavailable on our website, but it will open for your responses once our invitations are sent out.
You will be able to check your invitation for a +1 once the invitations are sent out.
As much as we love all of the children in our lives, we will not be able to invite kids to the wedding. We understand that this can be challenging, and we hope to still be able to see you for the wedding.
Luckily, there are no golf carts. There is, however, a UTV available to assist guests from the top of the gondola to the ceremony. Michael Peckham, it is your job to keep Hank away from the UTV!
