The year was 2000. The Krantz family had just moved to Stow, MA from Michigan. Hank was excited to start his first day of kindergarten at his new school in Mr. Mainini’s class. Meanwhile, Delaney was getting ready to head into the very same class with her friends. From kindergarten through eighth grade, they shared many classes, school projects, field trips, and fun activities. Though they ran in different circles, they were never far from each other. As high school quickly approached, their paths diverged with Delaney continuing on to Nashoba and Hank studying electrical at Minuteman.
21 years later, Delaney having just graduated from vet school and Hank fresh out of the Marine Corps, they were fated to meet again. One night, while begrudgingly scrolling through the Bumble account her friend Courtney set up for her, Delaney stumbled upon this familiar guy. But there was something different about his profile - the edges were shimmering gold! “Well that’s odd”, she thought. So of course she had to see what was up and swiped yes on Hank’s profile. Come to find out, Hank had paid a premium $2.99 in order to “SuperSwipe” Delaney on Bumble to get her attention. After talking, texting, and FaceTiming (a couple of accidental times), they were finally able to plan a first date. And the rest, as they say, is history!
