In July 2015, Jillian moved to Sacramento and Anthony sent her a message on OKCupid. Unfortunately, he sent her a message on the same day that she went on a first date with someone else... that she then dated for 2.5 years. She never responded. In January 2018, she sent him a message back on OKCupid apologizing for taking 2.5 years to respond. They messaged back and forth a few times until Anthony never responded. Fortunately, they matched again in January, 2020 on Hinge and this time, it was meant to be. They both responded!
Anthony and Jillian had their first date on February 1, 2020. They had no idea that in 6 weeks, the world would shut down around them and social life as they knew it would grind to a halt. Fortunately, by March 13, 2020, they had been on a few dates and agreed to each be the one person they would break quarantine for. In isolation, they spent many hours playing board games, going on socially distanced hikes, filling up their growlers at local breweries, and reading books to each other... because there wasn't really anything else to do. But quarantine gave them time to slow their lives down and build a strong relationship, which has in turn carried them to the present day. Anthony proposed to Jillian while celebrating their second anniversary in February 2022. They can't wait to celebrate their love with their family and friends at one of the breweries they frequented for growler fills during the pandemic - DarkHeart Brewing Co.!
Anthony and Jillian will be exchanging vows privately in a small ceremony on April 6, 2023, attended only by immediate family. They look forward to celebrating with everyone at the reception/party on June 11, 2023!
