Hallie and Jonny’s love story begins the old fashioned way-- both intrigued and swiping yes to each other on the Bumble dating app. Plans were quickly made to meet, but life got in the way and it took almost a year before they finally had their first date in February of 2019. Hallie says she still vividly recalls her first sight of Jonny— “Jonny was already at the restaurant when I arrived, even earlier than me if you can believe it, and I remember him turning toward me as I walked in… our eyes met, with a handsome little smile and his beautiful blue eyes… the butterflies hit, I was like “well, who’s this?!”… and I just knew that this one was different.” The romance quickly blossomed from there, cooking together, discovering new restaurants and scrumptious meals, beach days, board games and Uno, concerts, wine country and weekend trips, movie nights and deep conversations, all with lots of laughter, joy and a deepening understanding of one another. Hallie and Jonny traveled to Ireland and Scotland just a few months after meeting-- travel, the ultimate relationship test-- and discovered they not only deeply loved each other but they loved traveling and discovering adventures together. Shortly after they returned, Jonny moved into Hallie’s beach apartment in Santa Monica, becoming an official cat dad to their kitty Tripp, and they soon began talking marriage. Then Covid hit and it seemed a lot of life got put on pause as we all worked on simply surviving. If travel was once the ultimate test of a relationship, quarantine took it to a new level. However, trying as the times were, Hallie and Jonny flew through it with flying colors, their bond, love, and respect for one another only growing deeper-- their values and dreams aligning, a partnership full of love, laughter, courage, and support. Fast forward four years, and while on a romantic getaway to Los Olivos for Labor Day, on Sept. 1, 2023 at Fess Parker winery, Jonny pulled the ultimate surprise and got down on one knee-- the beautiful grapevines at sunset framing his incredible proposal. Jonny barely got the words out, before Hallie said yes! A million times yes... Hallie and Jonny are now overjoyed to be planning the wedding of their dreams at Sunstone Villa in Santa Ynez, in the wine country they have come to love so much. “It truly is a special place, and we look forward to sharing this thrilling occasion at the villa, celebrating love and togetherness with our family and friends.
