FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 14th. We apologize for the short timeline, but this being a destination wedding at a tourist destination, lodging is our top priority.

Question

Who’s taking who’s name?

Answer

Neither! The bride and groom have opted to keep their names.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered with Amazon. Please keep in mind that gifts are appreciated, but not required! We’re happier to have everyone there!

Question

Are gift cards or cash acceptable gifts?

Answer

If you would like to give cash, we would appreciate that for the honeymoon! Please no gift cards. There are too many gift card scams these days. Also, please try not to mail any cards or cash. We have had mail stolen routinely. But, as always, gifts are appreciated, but not required! We’re happier to have everyone there!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal wedding attire as you would expect it to be! Long pants or gowns may catch on shrubbery at the ceremony, so guests should be aware to ensure no clothing catches. No jeans or shorts please! Button downs for men are preferred to polos, but sleeve length is personal preference. Wear comfortable shoes, but please no tennis shoes, hiking boots, flip flops, etc. We will be walking on packed dirt or grass. Flats, wedges, or wide-base heels are recommended for women. You may want to change after the ceremony into something more casual for the reception, but we ask for more formal attire for the ceremony and photos.

Question

What amenities does the campsite have?

Answer

Laundry, bathrooms, free coffee and tea in the mornings, a small giftshop, a small snack market, a playground, free inner tube rentals for the river/swimming hole, and a basketball/volleyball court.

Question

Is there cell service?

Answer

There is no cell service anywhere on the campground. You may get some signal further down the road, but there is absolutely none at the site.

Question

Is there Wi-Fi?

Answer

Yes, but it is extremely limited. The campsite offers the wifi password for $20, and the reach only covers a small picnic area near the front entrance. (We will likely pay to receive the wifi password and share with the party).

Question

What time is check-in and check-out?

Answer

Check in is at 3pm on Saturday. Check out is at 11am on Monday.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The current forecast is a high temperature in the 78-83 range, and a low range of 58-63 for the weekend. There should be full sun to some cloudiness each day.

Question

What are the meal plans for the weekend?

Answer

Meals from Saturday lunch to Monday breakfast are provided by Shelly (mother of the bride) at campsite 75. See details below: Saturday lunch - build your own sandwich and choose sides (potato salad, macaroni salad, salad, etc.) Saturday night - Pasta and sides. Sunday breakfast - continental breakfast. Includes muffins, fruit, cereals, etc. Sunday lunch - Chicken, pasta, salad, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Sunday dinner - for the after party, there will be hamburgers and hotdogs. Monday breakfast - continental breakfast

Question

Is alcohol allowed and/or provided?

Answer

Both yes! Wine and beer will be provided for the reception. Hard alcohol and mixers provided for the after party. Please BYOB!

Question

Are there gas stations/stores nearby?

Answer

There are small markets and gas stations just past the campsite. Gas is $7.50, so try to get gas in Monterey.

Question

Is there a way to preview the sites or cabins?

Answer

There are photos on the campground website. Hailie also has a full tour video of the 6 person cabin for a closer look, contact her if you’d like to see!

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Yes, for an extra $5 a night. However, pets are not allowed in any cabins. Service dogs are allowed in any site. Brandon will be bringing Vader and Rey, and Hailie will have Tchaikovsky.
