You can tour the house throughout the year to dig deep into Jefferson’s world to discover his interests, ambitions, and talents, while the outside garden is available from April to October.

There are lots of great breweries and wineries in Nelson county, roughly a 30 minute drive southwest of Charlottesville! Most of them have scenic views of the blue ridge mountains. A few good breweries we recommend you check out include Blue Mountain Brewery, Devils Backbone, and Bold Rock. Some great wineries include Pippin Hill, Kings Family, and Glass House!
