Erika and her cousin Ky grew up spending time together at their grandparent's beach house in Cayucos, CA where Jordan eventually popped the question. Ky was also the one to capture his beautiful proposal. They've recently spent time together on the slopes where Erika has encouraged Ky to learn snowboarding and she is absolutely crushing it!

James

Best Man

From reenacting Star Wars in the backyard as kids to traveling Europe, scuba diving, and skiing/snowboarding together as adults, Jordan and his younger brother James have always shared a special bond.

Emily

Bridesmaid

Erika met Emily while studying abroad in London during college where they then traveled together to Amsterdam and Dublin. After college, they lived together in NYC and then again in LA where they often collaborate on independent film projects. Recently they've continued traveling, most memorably living out of a van while driving up the West Coast to Olympic National Park. They're currently working together on the series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin for HBO Max!

Rob

Groomsman

Jordan and Rob went to school together since Kindergarten (Sanderson Sharks for life!), but they became more than classmates a little further down the road... In high school, it only took Rob elbowing Jordan in the face during a basketball game and accompanying him to the nurse's office to cement their friendship. The rest is history as they say! They were often confused for a couple, which still tracks since Erika and Allison (Rob's wife) are usually the third wheels when these two get together.

Erin

Erika and Erin met in a Pop Culture class at Ohio University in the fall of their freshman year. They were pursuing the same course of study and often took the same classes where professors would often confuse the two. It was in one of these classes where they first met Jordan! Erika and Erin then rounded off their amazing college experience by living together their senior year.

Adam

Jordan met Adam in the dorms their freshman year at Ohio University and they roomed together every year after. No matter where the Air Force sends Adam or how long it's been since he's seen Jordan, whenever they reunite it's like no time has passed at all.

Lauren

Erika met Lauren through the Delta Zeta Sorority at Ohio University where Lauren became Erika's "big sis." They spent the school years studying really hard and not spending any time at fraternity parties whatsoever ;) On summer and winter breaks they couldn't bear to spend time apart but luckily both lived in the Dayton/Cincinnati area and were able to reunite frequently!

Dustin

Jordan first crossed paths with Dustin while visiting Erika in LA for Halloween 2014 but it was at a rowdy party weekend in Idylwild, CA after Jordan's final round of chemo that he really got to know Dustin and they knew they'd be lifelong friends. *Fun fact - it was this same party weekend that Erika's now-bridesmaid Lauren got engaged! It turned out to be a very memorable weekend for many in this bridal party!

Gina

Bridesmaid

Erika met Gina at a summer camp theater program the year Erika moved to Ohio. While they went to different middle schools at the time, they reconnected in high school. They went stag to prom together and crashed a HelloGoodbye concert at a nearby college which nearly got them lost forever on the way home. (R.I.P. MapQuest)

Jay

In the spring of 2012 Jordan attended an Imagine Dragons and AWOLNATION concert in Columbus, Ohio. Erika casually mentioned that her younger brother Jay was also going to the same show. Having never even seen a photo of Jay, Jordan was able to pick him out of the crowd. The Gruner genes run strong!
