Flight tips and hotel suggestions-- September is a peak month for Santa Fe, so we recommend booking ahead of time!

Flight

Santa Fe New Mexico Regional Airport

This is Santa Fe's local airport. It's probably the tiniest airport you'll ever go through. And because of that, there aren't a lot of direct flights into Santa Fe directly. There are flights to Santa Fe on American Airlines (Dallas and Phoenix) and United (Denver). If you choose to fly directly into Santa Fe, we recommend ensuring your connection has a decent connection time (Kira refuses to book any connecting flight that has less than an hour connection). For those flying internationally, we highly suggest flying via these large hubs to land directly in Santa Fe. The airport is a short 20-minute trip to the Downtown area. We also recommend pre-booking your Uber/Lyft from the airport or reaching out to your hotel to see if they offer airport shuttle services! You can also rent a car from the airport as well.

Flight

Albuquerque International Sunport

Somewhat larger than Santa Fe Regional Airport, but still super manageable and cute. We never wait in a long line and we like to get a pecan beer before our flight in the only restaurant in the airport. ABQ is a great option if you don't want to deal with the hassle of a connecting flight. From NYC: There is 1x direct flight per day on Jetblue to ABQ - it arrives at ABQ at 11pm at night, and departs ABQ at midnight. We'd recommend flying in Thursday night and leave Sunday! NYers, please let us know if you choose this flight because we can help coordinate a shuttle. From Los Angeles: There are direct flights to ABQ via Southwest (LAX and Burbank) as well as Delta and American Airlines (LAX). Kira and William swear by the Southwest Burbank > ABQ. Once you get to ABQ, it's an easy 1-hour drive to Santa Fe. You can either rent a car (which is great if you want to explore and really take in New Mexico), take a taxi/Uber/Lyft which range approx $100-120, or take the Groome Transport shuttle directly to your hotel. Please let us know what flights you book if you end up flying into ABQ, if there are large numbers in certain flights we can help organize a group shuttle to Santa Fe!

Travel Note

Groome Transportation (airport shuttle from ABQ to Santa Fe)

16 round trip trips from ABQ airport to Santa Fe starting at 5:15am to 12:30am. Make a reservation in advance to do a drop-off at your hotel (La Posada de Santa Fe is a stop). Price is $39.00 +tax one-way, per-person.

Our wedding venue! We have a limited room block here with special rates (USE LINK BELOW), so we suggest booking soon to take advantage. It's also a Marriott property, in case you are a Marriott Bonvoy freak like Kira, William, Kira's sister Gabbi, Kira's brother-in-law Matt, and Kira's father, Steve. Centrally located in downtown Santa Fe, there's also a pool, hot tub, free valet parking if you choose to rent a car, and a complimentary shuttle that will take guests within a two-mile radius of the resort for your adventuring.

They also offer a free shuttle to the Plaza (right by our hotel). The Sage Hotel is right by the Santa Fe Railyard, which gives you great access to the Saturdays Farmers Market as well as some other local sites/shops.

Another great option that's close to the venue/downtown Santa Fe, this B&B definitely offers a classic Santa Fe experience. According to the reviews the breakfast is great!!

Hotel

El Rey Court

Santa Fe, NM 87505

This is where Kira stayed when she first came to Santa Fe. It's super chic, and apparently where all of the young people in Santa Fe hang out. It's a bit further out from downtown Santa Fe, so we recommend you have a car if you stay here. However, it's awesome and very affordable and #vibes.

For all the days along the way
