Spring of 2021 was a time of new beginnings. The world was emerging from a year of sheltering in place thanks to the new vaccine, and we were both hopeful that our dating skills weren’t too rusty. Here’s how it started: June 6, 2021 Sarah: My neighbors are playing bad music but also giving out tacos Mitch: Tell me more about these tacos … June 7, 2021 Mitch: I’m thinking of taking a walk around the worst park sometime this week. Care to join? Sarah: Haha well when you sell it like that Sarah: What’s the worst park? Sarah: (and sure, assuming we can find a time) Mitch: LOL! Autocorrect fail, I intended that to be Dolores Park … June 9, 2021 Sarah: Ok heading out now, maybe 5 mins late Sarah: 2 heads up- Sarah: 1) Coming straight from wfh so I’m definitely casual Sarah: 2) I have hard seltzer in my purse, long story Mitch: Excellent! The extra 5 minutes will give me all the time I need to come up with clever remarks about 1 & 2 Sarah: Or just…play it cool :) …. After a pretty good first date involving mental math challenges (*swoon*), Sarah put Mitch down as a “hard maybe”. She texted him her number wondering how he felt; he texted back almost immediately. … Over the next year and a half, we fell in love as we experienced relationship milestones together. We met each others’ families, explored each others’ hometowns, got to know each others’ friends, and navigated each other's' quirks when we moved in together (Mitch insists that it’s ok to cook salmon in the microwave, and Sarah has unreasonably strong opinions about how to load a dishwasher). We are thrilled to be planning for the next milestone and can’t wait to ring in this new year of love and partnership with you!

We are also asking all people who attend our wedding in-person (including vendors) to take a COVID test the week of our wedding or on-site at the wedding. We will be providing rapid tests in welcome bags for everyone staying at the wedding hotel and will also have some available at wedding events.
