Things To Do

Welcome to Richmond, Virginia! Richmond is known for it's good food, breweries, and art scene. We've listed some of our favorite spots for you to explore while you are visiting our city. If you need a specific recommendation, please don't hesitate to reach out to Katie or Daniel!

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

200 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220

We took our engagement photos here with Otis. Admission to the VMFA is free. The modern and contemporary art includes sculptures, paintings, and more.

Maymont

1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220

We took our engagement photos here as well. It’s a great place to walk around and enjoy the gardens. Local Richmond park with Italian and Japanese gardens, wildlife habitats, feed friendly goats, and more! Free to enter and lots of parking!

Drive Shack

1647 Four Rings Drive, Richmond, VA 23233

We’ve spent lots of Tuesday nights here with Daniel’s friends. A fun afternoon activity and not too far from the hotel.

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery - West Creek

820 Sanctuary Trail Drive, Richmond, VA 23238

Hardywood is one of Richmond OG breweries. This location has great outside seating and usually has a good truck or two. We recommend the Richmond Lager.

Red Salt Chophouse and Sushi

12221 West Broad Street, Henrico, VA 23233

This is where we celebrated our engagement. We love their happy hour menu and their sushi is bomb.com

Tazza Kitchen Short Pump

3332 Pump Road, Henrico, VA 23233

Tazza Kitchen is a Richmond staple. We went on our first date to the Scott’s Addition location. Must get the hot honey sausage pizza and kale salad.

YaYas Cookbook

11674 West Broad Street, Henrico, VA 23233

Our favorite Thai restaurant! They have amazing happy hour, apps, and noodle dishes. You can’t go wrong with anything here.

Ardent Craft Ales

3200 West Leigh Street, Richmond, VA 23230

Where we first met and had our first date. One of our favorite spots to brewery hop and close to great food options like Eazzy Burger, ZZQ, or Wood & Iron. Our favorite beers are the Ardent Wheat (Daniel) and the IPA X (Katie).

Brambly Park Winery

1708 Belleville Street, Richmond, VA 23230

Outside and indoor venue usually with live music. Fun atmosphere to enjoy beer, wine, and some yummy snacks.

The Veil Brewing Co. - Scott’s Addition

1509B Belleville Street, Richmond, VA 23230

The Veil is one of the coolest breweries in Richmond. Their menu is always rotating with funky ipas, sours, and more. They have an Asian food stall at this location.
