Daniel and Katie met the only way people in 2020 do, on a dating app! Shout out to Hinge #notsponsored Daniel asked Katie out for drinks and they went to Ardent, a local brewery. Katie could tell Daniel was nervous and little did she know that this was his first app date. And little did he know that she had been on a zillion (all duds but fun stories, she could write a book)! The conversation flowed, dinner was had, and that's how their relationship began! From there, their relationship took off! Daniel met Katie’s million friends, Katie learned about ‘Magic’, Daniel tried a lot of new foods (his palette has slightly grown), Katie met all of Daniel’s crazy large family and loved it, and Daniel visited Katie’s family in Niceville, FL. A little over a year later, Katie moved into Daniel's house and made it into a home (iykyk). Lots of cookouts, yard work (Katie is now a certified lawn dad), home improvements, trips, and a dog named Otis, they wanted to make it official! Daniel asked Katie's dad, Mike for his blessing to propose on their first family cruise together in August 2022. Daniel survived his first Griffin family cruise and got Mike's blessing. Daniel proposed in their living room on a Sunday morning in December. They celebrated with champagne, breakfast, and Otis. Now they are engaged and ready to party with all of their favorite people!
