Things To Do

Hello everyone! We are so excited for you to join us in beautiful Frankfort Michigan for our wedding! Below are some things we recommend if you have some extra time up north.

Sleeping Bear Dunes

MI 49636

It hugs the northeast shore of Lake Michigan and includes South and North Manitou islands. The park is known for the huge scalable dunes of the Dune Climb. Beaches include Platte River Point, where the river flows into the lake. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail winds through forests and the Port Oneida area with its 19th-century farmsteads. Arcadia Dunes Baldy Trailhead

Trail to Baldy, Arcadia, MI 49613

The favorite destination for most hikers at Arcadia Dunes is Old Baldy, an open dune perched 356 feet above Lake Michigan for sweeping views of the Great Lake. Mountain bikers are allowed on portions of Baldy Trails but the open dunes and short segments make this system best suited for hikers and trail runners. In 2019 the trails on the west side were converted to Overlook Trail, a universally accessible path that leads to a stunning overlook.
