We met through online dating in April of 2019. As anyone who knows how slow Jeremy tends to be, he took three long weeks to ask Heidi out on a date. Thankfully as everyone who knows Heidi knows that she is an incredibly patient person and wasn't too bothered that it took so long. We went to a Korean BBQ restaurant and spent three hours talking, drinking, and very slowly eating. Jeremy still uses this date as a "romantic" reason to get Korean BBQ on occasion. We both love music (Jeremy is an elementary school music teacher and Heidi has an undergraduate degree in music therapy), cats (especially our wonderful cat Deanie), food of all kinds, exploring new places, the outdoors, cooking together, wearing matching clothes, and laughing at our own jokes. Just two dorks in love. Heidi knew Jeremy was the one when she saw him calling and talking to his grandmothers regularly and talking about his love for Japan. Jeremy knew Heidi was who he wanted to spend his life with when she showed such strong compassion, kindness, patience, and love throughout the pandemic. Either when seeing her after a day of hard work, or her smile in the morning after being woken up by Jeremy's truly terrible singing, Heidi was a rock. We are both so excited for our wedding, and to see where our love develops and takes us in the future!
