Wedding Party

Carla Ellis

Mother of the Bride

My mom Carla lives in Texas, but travels back to Hawaii often. She loves being a Grandma, binge-watching Netflix, chocolate, playing in the Hawaiian ocean, Grey Goose Greyhounds, and spending time with her favorite daughter...Jenna. :) Carla has a magnetic energy that people gravitate to. Her nickname is "Aloha Carla" as she embodies the Aloha spirit wherever she goes. She is feisty, has a huge heart, and is always there for all of us kids. She is funny, enthusiastic, wears her heart on her sleeve and has lived many lives in one lifetime. One of her nicknames is "Beamer" because she "beams" when she smiles, and it's true, she has an infectious laugh and beautiful smile!

Sharon Brown

Mother of the Groom

Sharon is currently enjoying retired life in New Jersey with her husband Greg Sr. You would never know it though, because Sharon has always kept herself busy by staying involved in the community. She continues to do work with Bethel AME Church, The African American Arts Festival, and the local Cotillion to name a few. She has always had a creative mind for the performing arts. Greg has fond memories of watching the Christmas performance at the school his mom taught at for years in Freehold Borough. Sharon is fun-loving, caring, supportive and has been a rock for the Brown family throughout years.

Mike Beard

Father of the Bride

Jenna's dad Mike is a Chiropractor and lives in our hometown of Waimea, Hawaii. He is a human encyclopedia; and can explain anything (except pop culture). He is a free spirit and very adventurous. He enjoys hiking, the ocean, flying planes, riding motorcycles, traveling, bacon, and a good dark beer. Mike has also lived many lives in one lifetime, and is always in search of growing spiritually, and exploring new interests. Mike is reserved by nature, practical, warm, welcoming, extremely intelligent, and very easy going.

Greg Brown Sr.

Father of the Groom

Greg Brown Sr. is also enjoying retired life with his beautiful wife Sharon in Freehold, New Jersey. Greg loves to play golf, travel, bowl and spend time with his family. He is a loving and caring provider who always makes sure his family is taken care of. When Greg Jr. was young, Greg Sr. would help coach the Pop Warner football teams he played on. He also showed support in all other activities Greg and his siblings chose to do. Greg is known in the family for his delicious BBQ ribs. London loves them so much she begs for her Grandpa to make them every summer he comes to Denver! Greg has been a true role model for his son and everyone else in the family.

Angela Ripley

Maid of Honor

Jenna's life-long partner in crime! Jenna and Angela met in 2004 while working at Kona Grill Restaurant in Cherry Creek, CO, and they have been inseparable ever since! Angela is from Milwaukee, WI and embodies the Midwesterner salt of the earth character. She has a heart of gold, extremely goofy, and is the happiest person I have ever met. She knows where the party is...and is the life of the party! Some of her likes: Prince, anything leopard print, cheese, The Green Bay Packers, Miller Lite, dancing, traveling and did I mention...Prince?!

Brian Brown

Best Man

My lil bro Brian Brown! Danger Man! Brian is a loving brother and great person overall. His love for cars has never faded, and he still enjoys catching any local car show available. I can remember feeling so proud of him when the newspaper wrote an article on him in High School for high jump. Funny story, when Brian was about 5 I was spinning him around in the living room by his hands in circles. I ended up accidently dislocating his shoulders and we had to go to the Dr. to get them popped back in. Mom was so mad. Sorry Bro! Brian loves to dance, sing, act and overall is a great performer and individual. I'm honored to call my little brother the Best Man of my wedding.

Belkis Morales

Bridesmaid

Belkis, better known as Bell, met Jenna while working together at Kona Grill. Bell is a Honduras spit fire! Reserved by nature, she is kind, adventurous, sarcastic, hilarous, and is always down for a margarita! Jenna and Bell connect on their passion and love for the hospitality industry, Bachata and wine! Some of Bell's likes are: Tequila, pitbulls, hoop earrings (the bigger the better), hiking, spending time with her Chef boyfriend, brunch and her fur babies.

Tiva Silva

Bridesmaid

Jenna's oldest sister, Tiva, has always taken care of eveyone else in the family. She has been a guiding force, mentor, voice of reason and support system for Jenna over the years. Tiva, and her husband David (of 28 years!) have 3 children, Chase, Gabby, and Gavin- and live in Waimea, HI. She enjoys spending time with her family, her reality shows, taking care of those around her, Pepsi, UFC Fighting, and Chik-fil-A!

Laina Brilliant

Bridesmaid

Jenna's other sister, Laina, lives in Frisco, TX with her husband Joe and 3 wild boys: Keawe, Rylan, and Nash. Being so close in age, Jenna and Laina were best of friends growing up. Laina is intelligent, giving, bold, and a determined business owner. She is a wine-loving beauty fashionista, a dedicated mama and fitness guru.

Cherisse Bonefont

Bridesmaid

Greg's sister Cherisse is only 18 months older than him. Being so close in age, Cherisse and Greg have the same goofy, endearing sense of humor and personality. Cherisse lives in New Jersey with husband, Joe Sr. and their 3 kids: Mercedes, Diana and Joey, and her husband Joe Sr. Cherisse enjoys singing, performing, time with her family, Jenna's bacon-wrapped shrimp, Disney, and dancing.

Joi Brown

Bridesmaid

Joi, Greg's oldest sister lives in Jersey City with her twin daughters, Sydney and Kennedy. She is a dedicated mom and a powerhouse in the music industry in NYC! Joi has a passion for music, her dog Gigi, attending her daughters' basketball games and track meets, traveling the country for work, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Gabriella Silva

Bridesmaid

Gabby is Jenna's niece. Gabby grew up in Colorado, but now lives in Hawaii with her family and is a Junior in High School. Gabby is a loving, kind-hearted, thoughtful a beauitful person, inside and out! She enjoys ocean paddeling, modeling, Chik-fil-A (like her mama), spending time with her brothers, donuts, traveling, music and fashion.

London Brown

Bridesmaid

Greg's daughter London is 14 and will be in 9th grade in August. London is compassionate, witty, intelligent, thoughtful, confident and has a heart of gold. She loves to perform, play basketball, volleyball, and excels in track. She always beats her dad in Mario Kart, adores her brother, can get down on her grandpa's ribs, loves emoji anything and Bruno Mars.

Roman Brown

Ring Bearer

Roman is 11-years-old and will be entering Middle School in August. I can't believe how much he has grown. He gets a little annoyed with me when I tease him and call him "Mr. Know It All." But I mean it in a playful way because he truly does know a lot for a kid his age. He likes to know facts and if he doesn't know it, he'll research it and retain the information. Roman loves to play hockey, video games and watch funny prank videos on the internet. His favorite sports team is the San Jose Sharks.

Ricky Oliver

Groomsman

My man Rick. Pretty Rick is what they called him! But, it's more like Picky Ricky! Rick hates cheese and mayo. The only person I've ever met who orders a pizza with no cheese. Just the sauce and toppings. Love this guy though. When we were in college, Rick and Justin had a late-night Hip Hop radio show on the college radio station. I remember everyone would tune in because being in Durango in the late 90's, their show was the only way for anyone to hear what the current hip hop music was. Plus, it was the only show in town!

Jeremy Jones

Groomsman

J Jones! I met Jeremy our Freshman year in college 1997. We lived in the same dorm room. Jeremy's room was down the hall. I remember I would be in my room and all of a sudden I would start hearing bass thumping with all this Master P music playing. I roamed the halls to see who it was, and it ended up being the white dude down the hall who was always walking around with a basketball wearing "And 1" gear. Love it!

Justin Arnell

Groomsman

I met Justin my Freshman year in College 1997. I remember I would always see him and Rick together in the cafeteria. They seemed so much older than me at the time. I didn't think we'd be friends because I would always try to say "what's up", but I felt like he wasn't trying to say hi back. Actually in the beginning, I was like forget those dudes! Ha. I was just trying to get to know the other black guys on campus. But once I got to know him I realized it was the complete opposite. Justin is one of the coolest most down to earth guys I know. He just needs to step up Madden skills.

Christian Durland

Groomsman

I met D Land my 2nd year in college. I remember I would keep hearing his name but I still didn't know who he was. Friend's would say, "yeah man, I kicked it with that dude Chris Durland the other night." And I'd be like, "Who is that?!" I eventually met him and we had the same circle of friends so we just started hanging out too. Chris has really had my back over the years. When times were rough, he was there to help out. I am glad to have him in our wedding.

Demarkus Brown

Groomsman

I met Demarkus when my family moved to Colorado in 1994-95. He was one of the first friends I made when we moved out here. He's another one that I never would have thought we would end up being friends. In High School, I just kept hearing that he was kind of a jerk, LOL. But one day for track practice, the team had to run 2 miles up the street and back. We ended up running it together and talked the whole time and became friends from that point on.

Brandon Nashonhoya

Groomsman

B Nas and I met playing football together our Freshman year. We were both receivers. We spent a lot of time together because we were red shirts at the same time. We survived summer camp and Freshman year together. But Brandon can also play some basketball. Dude would always block my shot...like always! So annoying! It's all good though because I would just bust his behind in Madden.

Griff English

Groomsman

I met Griff in 1997, at Fort Lewis College on the football team. Ironically, we played against each other in High School before we met and didn't even know it. Until one day in the dorms, guys on the team were sharing their High School highlight tapes. I put mine on and there was a part where I return a kick for a touchdown against Gateway High School. Griff played for Gateway. I ran right by a couple of guys who tried to reach out and tackle me, but couldn't. One of those guys just happened to be good ol' Griff. I remember watching that highlight with the guys in college and someone saying, "wait isn't that Griff right there!?" I remember the look on his face when we all realized it was him. Needless to say, I have never let him live down that moment...even 21 years later!

Shane Beard

Groomsman

Shane is such a fun loving person and has a huge heart. I have never seen him in a bad mood. Shane loves his movies, video games and music. We share a love for the Rocky movies. Shane has seen every single one of them just like I have. He also loves to DJ. He calls himself "The Love DJ." Maybe we'll get a glimspe of it on the big day? I am happy to call Shane my Brother-In-Law.

Julio Perez

Usher

I met Julio when we worked together as loan officers at Wilmington Finance, back in 2004 - 2005. Jules is originally from Boston, and is definitely one of those annoying Red Sox fans! We lived together when the Red Sox beat the Rockies in the World Series. I didn't get home until 2 in the morning and I was hoping he'd be passed out so I wouldn't have to hear it from him. But of course he was still up, wide awake, waiting on the couch for me to walk in the door. As soon as I walked in, he started clapping and cheering in my face, like the game had just ended. I knew it was going to be a long night. Julio has had my back during the 14 years that I've known him. He's been a good friend to me, and a great guy to my family. I am so happy he is able to be a part of my special day.
