Villa del Balbianello
Not to be missed! This villa offers some of the most stunning gardens and views on the lake, and is famous for its appearances in the Casino Royale & Star Wars movies. Arrive via the ferry port in Lenno, and take an easy hike up the hill or a taxi boat from Lenno beach.
Isola Comacina
Just south of Villa Balbianello, the only island on the lake. Mostly uninhabited, many visitors stroll the island and have lunch at the Locanda dell’Isola Comacina - a foodie experience!
Villa Carlotta
The most prestigious of the gardens is located next to The Grand Hotel Tremezzo where our Welcome Party will be held on Friday evening.
Villa Monastero
Formerly a Cistercian convent, now beautiful botanical gardens and museum located in the heart of Varenna.
Como Classic Boats
Discover the lake in style with a private tour in an exquisite Riva boat. Located in Laglio but will pick you up anywhere on the lake.
Taxi Boat Varenna
A classic Venetian taxi boat holds up to 18 people for larger group or private tours, as well as provides transfers around the lake. Also check out Varenna Water Taxi for similar option and boat rentals.

Il Cavatappi
We enjoyed one of our favorite meals in Italy at this cozy, authentic restaurant down a small alley in the winding streets of Varenna. Reservations are recommended as there are only a handful of tables in this intimate space. For a more high end experience, we also love the Royal Gourmet restaurant at the Hotel Royal Victoria for its breathtaking views. We had the most perfect ravioli and risotto here for lunch out on the terrace! (reservations recommended for dinner)
Shopping in Bellagio
The picturesque streets of Bellagio are lined with shops, perfect for a stroll to walk off your lunch. Lake Como is known for its silk, but there's no shortage of handmade ceramics, jewelry, and leather as well.
