Question

What is up with the goat Welcome Party??

Answer

The Welcome Party is of course, totally optional on the night before the wedding in place of a traditional rehearsal dinner. It is being held at the Goods and Goats Market, which is a working goat farm. Yes, it is a real goat farm full of pigmy goats (and baby goats!!) that we can all pet and play with! There is plenty of parking onsite in the parking lot and along the street. The farm is about a 5 min drive from the wedding venue. No dress code, it will be very casual. Please keep in mind the ground is dirt, so would recommend skipping the high heels (think shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sun dresses, boots, etc.). This event will be entirely outdoors with shaded awnings. There will be a made-to-order taco bar cart (with gluten free and vegan options available), beer/wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Here is a link to their website for more information: https://goodsandgoatsmarket.com/ Hope to see you there!

Question

I need details on the Saturday Beach Day!?

Answer

The day after the wedding we will be hanging out at Doheny State Beach and welcome anyone to join us! Again, totally optional event if you are staying in town and want to hang out and catch up after the wedding and experience one of SoCal's beautiful beaches! It is about 10 minutes from the wedding venue. We have picnic area #2 reserved. If you are facing the ocean, picnic area #2 is to the left of the cafe, behind lifeguard post 11. The picnic area is on a grassy area just off the beach, with a large shaded awning and picnic tables, and a handicap accessible paved walk-way. We will have some drinks and snacks, but feel free to BYOB as well. There is also the Doho Beach Cafe right next to us with food and drink available for purchase. There is a large parking lot and we recommend parking in lot 1 or 2. If you see signs for campground parking you've gone too far. Please note that the lot does often fill up in the summer and is first come, first served so we recommend carpooling/lyft if possible. If the lot is full there should be street parking along PCH. Parking in the beach lot is $15 per day or hourly rate.

Question

Is LA traffic as bad as everyone says?

Answer

YES. No matter what time of day, please expect traffic to be terrible in and out of LA during your travels. It's bad! We strongly advise the John Wayne airport over LAX when possible.
