How We Met

At a Fraternity House, But Not His

One weeknight he was gearing up to go out to Buckhead and blow off some steam from a tough week of classes. She was dragged out of her dorm by her roommates who had some friends hanging out at a fraternity house. The stars aligned, and one of her roommates happened to be going to Buckhead in the same group as Will. They were introduced to each other on the front porch of Delta Upsilon, and within the first 15 minutes of talking they bonded over their degrees, love of sports, and outlook on life. Within a week they had gotten each others phone numbers and set up another meet up together, and the rest is history!

The Proposal

Big Moment in the Big Apple

Will and Lindsey had discussed wanting to spend their lives together since the end of 2015, and on New Years Eve 2015 they shared a kiss and a promise that by the end of 2016 they would be engaged. As spring time rolled around, Will began to plan for the big moment. While researching for the perfect ring, a few different proposal ideas floated through his mind. Would it be somewhere close to home, or maybe even at the Adele concert in Nashville they would travel to in October 2016? He hatched a plan with Lindsey to take a vacation to New York City, the Big Apple, to see the sights and experience the city basking in the glow of Christmastime. Unknown to her, this was the perfect opportunity for the big moment. After securing the ring, scouting some locations on the Internet and arriving in NYC, the couple spent the first few days tackling a meticulously planned itinerary. Lindsey began growing suspicious that this trip might transition from dating to engaged, but was a bit thrown off as it was not until the middle of the trip when it happened. After enjoying some views of Central Park from the Top of the Rock, they exited Rockefeller Center to the corner of 6th Avenue & W 49th Street. With an art installation of red Christmas ornaments and the Radio City Music Hall marquee in the background, Will dropped to a knee and asked the most important question of his life: Lindsey, will you marry me? Of course, Lindsey accepted! With a secret paparazzi photographer capturing the moment, the happy couple had an impromptu photo shoot in the heart of the city and shared what will forever be one of the happiest moments of their lives!
