Flight

Flight Option 1: Peretola Airport (Florence, FLR)

From New York there are no direct flights to Florence, however, if you don't mind a layover Florence is a great option to fly into. Once you land in Florence you are just a one and a half hour drive or direct train ride to Cortona (see train and car rental information below).

Train

Train: Florence to Cortona

The train is a great option for those of you traveling into Florence. Take the Regionale train RE (Local train), which takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the Camucia-Cortona train station. This Fare ticket is about 10€.

Flight

Flight Option 2: Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (Rome, FCO)

If you are traveling from NYC and are looking to fly directly into Italy, we recommend you fly into Rome. Rome is a direct 2 hour and 15 minute train ride to Cortona (see train information below) or a 2 and a half hour drive if you are renting a car (see car rental information below).

The train to Cortona is a great option for those of you flying into Rome. The direct train is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

We have blocked off these rooms from Thursday, June 12th - Monday, June 16th.

We have blocked off these rooms from Thursday, June 12th, with checkout on Sunday, June 15th. Please note this hotel does not have any availability on Sunday night, June 15th. If you are interested in staying Sunday night for a Monday checkout, we recommend you choose one of the other two hotels in our block.

Travel Note

Taxi Cortona

While taxis in Italy are required by law to accept credit cards, it's always best to have a bit of cash on hand just in case your taxi's credit card machine is "conveniently" out of service. Please note that Cortona has limited taxi availability.
