Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Amy Kimm and Glenn Mortimer
Meet our family and the people you're going to see in the livestream!

Callie Mayo

Matron of Honor

Glenn's big sister, pictured with her husband Wes + two children Wes & Clara. The source of Amy and Glenn's very active sourdough starter and far more advanced in making tasty bread, wrangler of kid crises, reliable sounding board for most logical decision options, and subject 1 in Amy's mission to spread more skincare habits to the new family.

Phillip Kimm

Best Man

Amy's little brother, small business owner, and the instigator of "is this funny or remarkably uncomfortable?" in 85% of social situations. Excellent foil for arguments and hashing out how the sibs feel about politics. Also a really good babysitter as long as you're aware that your kids are going to have an odd new set of vocabulary words. Like toroid and cloaca.

Clara Mayo

Flower Girl

Fearless, try anything, little niece Clara who probably did eat that coin though she denies it vehemently. Known as "the bully" to her Uncle Bud for her assertive steamrolling over Little Wes, she and her girl cousins are definitely going to rule the playground (if they don't already) and eventually conquer the world!

Wes Mayo

Ring Bearer

Big brother to Clara, and the sibling that got all the caution and responsibility genes. Continuing to learn spelling by texting and group chats, he's into golf, How to Train Your Dragon, making sure we know he doesn't like change, taking pictures like his uncle Bud (they're getting noticeably better), and chicken jokes.

Mr. Jim

Officiant

Amy and Phillip went to Mr. Jim's summer art camp for years, and Amy was eventually a camp counselor. Art camp, by the way, was everything from painting and photography to bookbinding and forging a knife. Glassblowing was the next art to try, and if she had time before moving to Louisville she'd sign herself and Glenn up for a class. Amy has fond memories of everything about the Southwest School of Art, including Mr. Jim's mustache, and had originally planned to have the wedding in their lovely garden pre-COVID.

Mrs. McCormick

Reader

Mrs. McCormick directed the choir that Amy (and Phillip for a couple of years) sang in, and everything Amy knows about standing on stage for events from performances to presentations she learned from Mrs. McCormick, Mrs. Taute, and the Children's Chorus! Also, proof that childhood memorization is forever, Amy still remembers the Papageno Papagena duet from the Magic Flute in German and "Va, pensiero" from Nabucco in Italian. Amy wishes she could remember everything from med school so clearly.

Katherine Kimm

Mother of the Bride

Grade A co-wedding planner with Betsy, and mom extraordinaire to for trying new skin care, pointing out when Amy's being a LOT like Dad (cranky version TM), checking if foundation/tinted-face-whatever is the wrong color, knowing when to push and when to leave be when Amy's upset, being totally honest about how clothes look, essay editing from elementary school to residency applications, and completely understanding the desire to have all the shoes while helping pick just one (or sometimes two). Love you Mom!

Chris Kimm

Father of the Bride

The source of, and most understanding commiseration for Amy's desperate motion sickness in any moving vehicle and some buildings (no thank you Tower of the Americas!), top notch math problem set reviewer if you have 30 minutes per question to go over how the problem works and why the way school taught you was inefficient and/or wrong, all-knower of when Amy isn't invested in the thing Mom is super excited about today, and Best Dad Award winner many times over for grocery store trips to pick up pads and tampons. Love you Dad!

Betsy Mortimer

Mother of the Groom

Grade A co-wedding planner with Katherine, basically got our wedding off the ground with her beautiful save the dates, super handy house fixer, happy to try the new foods that Amy and Glenn want to eat, hilarious source of honest opinions, subject 2 for Amy's mission to spread more skincare habits to the new family, and the sweetest, kindest mother-in-law to be!

Glenn Mortimer III

Father of the Groom

Hilarious story teller, knows absolutely everyone somehow, very patient part-time fly fishing and shooting instructor, can and has made friends with telemarketers, very good sport about trying the new and sometimes weird food that Amy and Glenn want to eat, master of the Irish goodbye, and a more warm and welcoming father-in-law to be Amy couldn't imagine!

Amy Kimm and Glenn Mortimer IV

Bride + Groom

Both of our families were so excited to have a nice picture of the two of us because apparently we only take candids, action shots, and surprise-you're-making-a-funny-face pictures of each other. Also we forget to take couples pics.
