I signed up on SignUpGenius, but can't find the Zoom link!

Answer

SignUpGenius should send you an email with the details of your signup time, and an orange "Zoom Meeting" link with a little camera icon next to it. You can also click "View my Signup" and the original signup page will have grey "Zoom Meeting" links next to every date and time.

What is the Zoom schedule/signup for?

Answer

We want to make time to talk with you and see you virtually! The schedule on SignUpGenius shows when we’re free for virtual chats, and helps keep the number of people we’re talking with online at a manageable number (because huge virtual meetings don’t work very well). Sign up for a time that you’re free and we can talk to each other via Zoom, a virtual meeting platform.

So you mention a Zoom meetup, but I haven't used Zoom before.

Answer

Don't worry, it's pretty simple! You'll get a link to the Zoom event when you sign up on the schedule we've posted to the FAQ and Schedule pages. You can download the program (maybe a day or 30 minutes ahead of time), and should be good to go! You'll be asked for a password (see above) and may need to wait in a "waiting room" for a bit before we add you to the meeting.

I want to download Zoom on my computer.

Go to this website and download the "Zoom Client for Meetings": www.zoom.us/download/

Can I use Zoom from my phone?

Answer

Yes, you will need to download Zoom from the App Store, but it will still work!

Do I need to make an account in Zoom to use it?

Answer

Nope! Just download the program and follow the link provided on the SignUpGenius email.

Question

I don't want to download Zoom.

Answer

We highly recommend it for ease of use. If you really don't want to download it though, don't worry! You should still be able to join via the internet on a computer. Clink the "Zoom Meeting Link" on the reminder email that SignUpGenius will send you the day before the meeting. That page will want to download Zoom and will probably automatically start a download. Ignore the download and click "try again". After it tries to download a second time, it will give you a "connect via browser" link which goes straight to the meeting. After the meeting, delete the downloaded files from your download folder.

Why aren’t the links to your livestream and sign up page working when I click on them in Zola?

Answer

We’re having difficulty making the URL’s into active links, so instead copy the URL and paste it into your browser’s search bar to be taken to our live wedding video or to our SignUpGenius scheduling page.

What is going to happen to the wedding with coronavirus?

Answer

We regret that we've had to make the decision to cancel our in-person wedding. While we would love to see you all together and have a chance to introduce our friends to each other, we also want to make sure that we are doing our part to keep everyone as healthy as possible in these times. We apologies for any inconvenience, and hope that you understand. In the meantime, we are trying to set up a wedding livestream so that you can virtually participate in our wedding. Please stay tuned for more updates.
