Question

What is a second line?

Answer

The second line parade signifies the beginning of a new life together. The grand marshal and second line band lead the bride, groom, and wedding guests from the ceremony to the reception with a police escort. The newlyweds lead the procession, umbrellas in hand, while the wedding guests follow with handkerchiefs. Wear comfortable shoes and get ready to dance in the street!
