We love kids, especially our niece Lily, but this event is adults only so your worries are around a babysitter vs wondering how many more drinks you can have before it's bedtime
Virginia has lifted all indoor restrictions and no longer requires masks for vaccinated individuals. That being said, we are mandating masks upon arrival and during the ceremony. We are also requiring temperature checks before entering the event space.
I'm so glad you asked! The dress code is Royal Garden Party. What does that mean exactly? Men should wear a sport jacket, collared shirt and slacks, but no tie. Women have it a bit more fun though: Hannah would really like all women to wear either a hat or fascinator. Hannah is half British and she has always wanted a traditional British wedding. We have you all covered with a Pinterest Look Book: https://pin.it/3He4EyA Hannah found an Etsy shop with stunning fascinators: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Starcrossedbeauty . Note: shipping is pricey so consider partnering up with another guest to split it if you go with this shop. There is also a shop in Alexandria called Tops of Old Town and Proper Topper in Cathedral Heights for our DC area guests! Note: Just because hats are part of the dress code does not mean this is Derby day. This is still a formal event and merits thoughtfulness vs trying to be "on theme".
There are two daily and nightly hourly parking garages within a block: Torpedo Factory Parking Garage at 102 N. Union Street and HB Parking Garage at 115 S. Union Street. There is a nightly and weekend parking garage next to restaurant: HB Parking at 110 S. Union St. Present your Virtue Feed & Grain receipt to receive a $3 discount at both HB parking garages.
Unfortunately there isn't an elevator to the second floor, but the stairs are shallow and very wide. There are restrooms located on the second floor as well.
Everything will take place inside the restaurant, but windows may be opened depending on the weather. Virtue is right next to the marina so we encourage guests to enjoy the neighborhood, either before the ceremony or during the reception.
