We were going to rent a literal castle, but then COVID happened.

Hannah signed up for a social kickball league with the intention of finding a boyfriend. This particular league set up a scavenger hunt on U Street corridor for all players, which included Seth. As soon as Hannah saw Seth in the check-in line, she knew she had to have him. After several hours of “running into each other”, they finally connected at Nelly’s Sports Bar and the rest is history. Needless to say, the $69 to sign up for kickball was well worth it!

One night, Seth and Hannah went to Passenger for a drink or two, and learned it had Chartreuse on tap. An obscure liquor, it got them thinking: where and how do they make it? This led to a French vacation to visit the Carthusian monks and learn more about this interesting concoction. Little did Hannah know, Seth was planning a beautiful proposal. After touring the distillery in a little town called Voiron, Seth insisted on one more trip before heading back to the hotel in Lyon: to visit the actual monastery where the ingredients were once collected. 30 minutes of winding mountain roads led to a picturesque site right at the golden hour. When he got on one knee, no words were exchanged as the land was a “silent zone” but needless to say, words weren’t necessary.
