Best Man/ Officiant
Meu irmão! My Dad! My Cactus Ass… Even though we’re step brothers, Colin has known me since I was a newborn, has known Kelly and I since the very first days of our relationship, and in my formative years has help shape me into the man I’ve become probably more than anyone else, as scary as typing that is… throughout that time, I’m incredibly fortunate to have not only gained a brother but a best friend, and Dad, as well. We work together in the same area, went to grad school together for our MBAs, and play together too; whether that be skiing, golfing, squanching, partying, or anything else. Love ya Colin! Couldn’t be more thrilled to be non-traditional and have you both be the Best Man and Officiant!
Maid of Honor
Clare and I met sophomore year of college at Umass Amherst. We were random (unexpected) roommates with the same major, public health. We quickly became inseparable to the point that if we weren’t with the other, friends would ask where the other was. Clare is an amazing friend and as a prompt person she is extremely patient with my tendencies to be late. We’ve had so much fun country hopping in Europe and flying between Denver and San Fransisco to see each-other. Without her I wouldn’t have had the guts to study abroad in Sweden (one of the choices that ultimately lead me to meet tyler!). I'm so happy to have her as my Maid of Honor!

To know Doug is to know a vibe. Is he a vibe? Of course he is. He also makes the best rice, which we’ve all had at some point or another. Doug and I’s friendship didn’t blossom until the last week of college at University of Rochester. We had both known of each other through friends of friends, and recognized each other’s stellar music tastes, but we really bonded as degenerates together during senior week. Fast forward to 2019, Doug was living in his hometown of Houston and visiting Denver and we really hadn’t talked at all since graduating May 2016. We met up for some drinks, I taught Doug about the Houston band Khruangbin, and after I finangled a work trip to Houston so Doug and I could go see them there together, our friendship exploded into the brothers we are today. We’ve now shared three Khruangbin shows together, plus countless others… I’ve hosted Doug at my house on four separate trips since 2020, and stayed with Doug three times in Houston, and once in SF… and in that time span, Doug helped me find the love of my life too. Pretty special guy if you ask me!

Carolyn and I met in 2016 shortly after graduating college when she started dating my friend Chris. Our first encounter was Chris telling me to go to Carolyn’s parents house where he would meet us a few hours later. Well I showed up and she welcomed me in, unsure of who each other was. After a few hours of listening to country music, swapping stories, laughing a lot and having dinner with her parents, the rest is history! We’ve been friends ever since, even with me moving to Colorado and her moving to Texas! Fun fact: even though she’s never lived in Colorado, her and Chris were the first friends of mine to have dinner with Tyler at my house in Boulder!

Mi corazon. Para mi especial. Jon has always felt like my brother from another mother, ever since I really got to know him through Colin when I was back in high school. I felt our friendship really kick when Colin, Jon, and I all went downhill mountain biking summer of 2012 at Keystone (which we never had done), and we ended up on double black runs and all collectively flipped over the handlebars about 5 times that day. We’ve shared some really amazing times over the years, whether on the Squanch or the golf course or at various music venues in Colorado. Between Colin, Jon, and I, my words that I wrote in a Time Capsule on top of a mountain in Buena Vista that we all hiked (Jon in flip flops) seven years ago still hold just as true today… “Three brothers, who weren’t of the same blood, shed some along the way, in search of good vibes, good weather, and good challenges”. Love ya Jonye/Coach Dad!

With our 8 year age difference I have been a part of Kaitlyn's life since the beginning and was old enough to remember many memories with her. A favorite memory of mine is when Kaitlyn was a couple years old and smeared butter all over the TV, windows and her entire body. As the big sister, I grabbed her and started the de-greasing process in the tub. She's come a long way since then and despite our age difference, Kaitlyn and I are quite close and she even came to visit me last year over spring break and I got to show her around Colorado. She's also following in my footsteps by attending Umass Amherst. Unlike me, she's on the Umass Dance team so watch out for her moves at the wedding which will surely be better than mine.

Oh Justin, you lovely Dad, you. Like Jon, my friendship with Justin came from hanging with Colin and his friends, except Justin and I’s origin story traces back to the inaugural Squanch camping trip, outside of Buena Vista, at a campsite lovingly referred to as “Tequila Rock”. Though Justin might say we became friends in those fun times after he watched me run up the campsite’s surrounding hills (which we did), our friendship deepened in times of personal struggles and moments of vulnerability. For all the hearty Dad laughs I’ve shared and will continue to share with Justin, what I appreciate most about our bond is being able to genuinely share about each of our lives and what the other is going through, and being that support for each other. That kind of male relationship and friendship is rare, and something I’ll never take for granted Justin! Super excited to have you in my wedding and to return the favor in your own wedding later this year! Love, Crunchy Taco

Being only 2 years apart, Laura and I spent a lot of time together as kids. We both played soccer and played in backyard together but my favorite memory is our weekly horseback riding lessons. Each week we would come home from school and our dad would drive us down to the barn to ride horses together. As we got older, our interests and paths became more different and with me moving to Colorado, I don't get to see her as much as I would like which is why I am excited she can be a part of Tyler and I's wedding!
Ring Bearer
Goose has been a part of Tyler’s life since August 2017, and has shared many adventures and cuddles, made friends with every person and dog he’s ever met, and shed enough coarse blonde hair in his life to fill a dozen Olympic swimming pools. He’s snowboarded with Tyler down multiple mountain passes, he loves to swim and paddle board, and he’s one of the best backpack camping dogs there ever was. Goose is already known by many names - Puppy Johnson, Goosebert, Goosebertino, Yellow Boi, Goo, Goo Goo, Deputy of the Squanch - and now he earns a new one… Ring Bearer!
Flower Girl
Up until this point, one of the happiest days of my life was 2 years ago, when I flew to a farm in Knoxville, Tennessee to pick up Kaia. She was only 8 weeks old and it was love at first sight. Although Kaia was my puppy and Tyler and I didn't live together yet, Goose and Tyler have been a part of her life since I brought her home to Colorado, from the beginning we were a little family. If you’ve ever met Kaia, you’d know that she’s the ultimate lover. She may bark but she never bites and her ultimate goal is to snuggle, play and be with the people she loves which is why we are so excited to have her as our flower girl! Dear Kaia, You’ve grown up and turned into such a lil daddy’s girl. I cherish our morning routine of you getting up early with me for workdays and you being my floofy work buddy. You’re so smart and you love to be crazy, which I appreciate. Can’t wait to see you in a flower tiara at Arrowhead. - Tyler
