If you’re looking for a nice walk close to where your staying we would recommend this riverside trail where we like to walk the dogs. If you'd like a beer at the end of your walk, you can take this trail to Breckenridge Brewery. If you go in the morning/ afternoon stop by Nixons coffee house on the trail near Hudson Gardens for a coffee and snack.
There is nothing more Colorado than Red Rocks and a must see for anyone who hasn’t been to Colorado. Go for a walk here or catch a show. When there isn’t an event going on in the amphitheater you can walk in.
This park is a favorite of locals and visitors alike with everything from walking trails to steep challenging hikes. It’s a beautiful spot at the foothills of the front range mountains and in fact at the top of the Flatirons 1 &2 trail is where Kelly and Tyler got engaged! It’s close to the town of Boulder where you can grab a bite to eat or shop afterwards!
If you’re looking for a more challenging hike with a view of Boulder and the mountains this is the hike for you. Fun fact: Kelly used to live 6 miles up Sunshine Canyon, the road that this trailhead starts on.
Trails for all levels of hikers and those adjusting to the altitude! Short drive but feels like you're miles away from the city! The Red Rocks you'll see here are the same rocks you'll see in the background of our wedding ceremony!
Tyler and I take classes here most weeks and bring friends here when they come to visit! Black Swan is a donation based yoga studio with the best classes around for experts and novices alike. It has a super community and non judgmental vibe so if you've never tried yoga, this is the spot to do it! They have Manduka mats to rent for $3-5 so you can leave yours at home.
Our regular order here is the lavender matcha latte!
A unique tea house right along the Boulder Creek. On a nice day it’s relaxing to sit in the patio and listen to the creek. Check out their website to see the history behind this gorgeous tea house!
Located right next to Ted’s Clothiers, where Tyler and the groomsmen got their suits from, Gallo features authentic Sicilian food so good and an atmosphere so rich at night you’ll feel like you’re at home in Boston’s North End. They have the best Italian food and desserts we’ve found in Colorado, and because of that and our friendship with the owner’s son Michaeli, Gallo is catering the desserts for the wedding! P.S. - Ask the guy waiters about “Old Greg”, they’ll know.
Rated one of Denver’s top 50 restaurants and an amazing Japanese restaurant that Tyler and Kelly frequent. Their fish is flown in fresh and so everything on their menu is delicious but if you’re in the mood for something different we suggest doing the omakase or chefs choice! It’s tiered options for sushi and sashimi and is delightful! *reservations suggested!
This charming restaurant is inside an old home and it's garden. *reservations suggested
A cute spot for a pre or post dinner drink or to have wine and apps.
A unique, no frills spot to have a drink and play some pinball.
Best Indian food in Denver (in our opinion). Plus the drink deals are like they consistently have too much inventory and need a reason to get rid of it all.
Awesome self-serve food & drink market in Golden. There’s at least 6+ food vendors at all times, the drinks you pour yourself, and often live music outside too. All right next to the Coors Brewing Factory!
Really great spot for Indian food.
Cozy and intimate setting for Asian fusion.
