After meeting through mutual friends, Justin took Gerrie to dinner at Osteria Cicchetti in Wilmington for their first date. They concluded the night by stargazing at the beach. Amazingly, one of the best meteor showers of the year took place that night. It was like their love was written in the stars. Four months later, Justin left for training to start his Naval career. After he graduated and Gerrie finished college, Gerrie moved to Newport, Rhode Island to be with Justin. Two days after their second anniversary Justin proposed.

Justin and Gerrie got married on November 11, 2021, in Wilmington, NC at the courthouse, surrounded by their immediate family. They had an intimate ceremony so they could enjoy married life before Justin's deployment in early 2022. Now that they are settled in Virginia, they are having the big wedding of their (Gerrie's) dreams. Justin and Gerrie are so excited to celebrate their love with you!
