Tessa and George met while working for Aon in 2017 while Tessa was on secondment to the London office. Both George and Tessa had sworn to themselves that they would not get involved romantically with a colleague. One chat over coffee later, however, and all bets were off.

After six months of lockdown, and Tessa's trip home in the summer, George & Tessa escaped their London flat to the Fine's house to spend time with George's parents and sister. George had wanted to propose with both Demmerle and Fine families present, but unfortunately that wasn't in the cards given the pandemic! Instead, George managed to find a quiet moment between the two of them while on a walk in the idyllic English countryside. George proposed by the River Teign, and Tessa said yes (part II of the Demmerle family 2020 Christmas card...)! They shared the news with the Demmerle family and had a loving chat with Kate, Tessa's mom. They then walked back to Old Venn as a newly engaged couple to surprise David, Grania, Maddie, and Aunt Mel and celebrated in true Fine fashion with a few bottles of champagne!
