Emily is Amber's sister from another mister. They hit it off at UF preview in the summer of 2008, became besties during a fateful creative writing class freshman year, upgraded to roommates (Humemates!) the next year, and that's when a romantic plot twist happened, and Emily started dating Amber's twin brother Jonathan. Amber had the privilege of being Emily and Jonathan's maid of honor in May 2014, and she's so proud and pleased to have Emily by her side for all of life's milestones and the occasional theme park.
Roxy Fraser
Maid of Honor
Roxy and Amber got off to a rocky start with their first conversation in that creative writing class freshman year. Luckily they persevered through the pride and prejudice to discover that they are kindred spirits. They soon became each other's fave lunch confidantes, book borrowers, competitive card players, and dare I say...party bunnies? Maybe not that last one, but Shakespeare buffs and international travel buddies, for sure. As they've matured, their friendship has matured, so now it's 90% inside jokes and sappy texts. Trueski.
Jonathan Brooks
Bridesman
Jonathan is Amber's twin brother. No, they can't read each other's minds, but they can spontaneously start quoting lines from favorite TV shows and movies from the 1990s. They can also name every Survivor winner from the last 42 seasons. Jonathan has always had Amber's back -- from tying her shoes on the playground to driving to pick her up when her car stalled or she lost her keys. Jonathan is as reliable and kind as they come. He's the best bridesman!
Kathleen Birkhimer
Made of Awesome
Amber met Kathleen at Hume Hall in 2009, and she thought "this chick is pretty cool, maybe we'll be friends." Amber never imagined that she would travel to 10 countries and 5 states (and counting!) with Kathleen. Their friendship has been full of whirlwind experiences and heartfelt conversations. Amber deeply admires how Kathleen gives an enthusiastic yes to life opportunities, whether it's a two-person book club, a lip sync battle, or a weekend trip.
Andrew Bingler
Groomsman
Ben and Andrew have spent many a day together toiling away at work on futuristic aircraft, and they've spent many a night laughing together over a virtual reality game or a couple of beers. Whether they're on a hiking expedition, a Spartan race, or just watching Youtube videos late into the night (or morning), these two guys are a barrel of laughs and math nerd facts.
Christina Bresnick
Groomswoman
Christina is Ben's little sister. They are both free spirits who love of intrepid outdoor exploring and new adventures. Even if they don't live in the same state or time zone anymore, they share an unbreakable sibling bond that isn't fazed by time or distance. Ben is proud of the woman and mother that Christina has grown into, and he's looking forward to the many West Coast outings that will surely follow this East Coast party.
Travis Brooks
Officiant
Travis is Amber's older sibling -- aka big bother aka the favorite child aka Trobavobis. She's used to following his lead and trusting his word as law -- so it just made sense for him lead the wedding ceremony as a lawful officiant. He made everyone laugh as best man at Jonathan and Emily's wedding, and his sense of style has only improved since then. Whether he's crafting cocktails or talking politics, his insight and good humor (as well as his status as firstborn) never fails to impress his loving family.
