This is where we had our first date. Great spot to meet eligible young bachelors!
When we were still living downtown, we loved going for walks around the lake by James Madison Park. If you're lucky you might even see a family of baby ducks swimming by. If you're unlucky you might walk in on a game of craps in the parking lot.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in downtown, Madison. They have the best burgers and fries! They also have the sweetest dog, Corduroy, who just wanders around the dinning room. But be careful about sharing your fries with him, because he will keep pressuring you to give him more.
Admission to the outdoor gardens is free and on Saturdays from 10am to noon, admission is also free to the indoor tropical garden. Olbrich Gardens is a beautiful place to stroll around.
Alex, Emily, and Khaleilei had so much fun going out on the paddle boat last summer. Unbeknownst to Emily, the boat day was also when Alex asked Emily's parents for permission to marry her.
This is where Alex and Emily got engaged, at the top of the capitol steps. On Saturday mornings the Capitol Square hosts America’s largest producers-only farmer's market. Walking around the farmer's market is one of Emily's favorite weekend activities and one of Alex's least favorite activities.
