Question

Arrival time for the wedding

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive at Villa la Selva no later than 430pm. This is to give you enough time to park and make your way to the ceremony area before it starts.

Question

Parking availability at the location

Answer

There is parking available at Villa la Selva. You only need to follow the navigator to the location and you will see the parking as soon as you arrive.

Question

Speed limits and ZTL zones

Answer

As most of you will likely be renting a car and driving, we wanted to warn you that speed limits in navigation apps (Waze, Google Maps) are not updated. Usually, the app shows a higher speed limit than permitted. Please pay attention to road signs. Tuscan roads are narrow and swingy, please drive safely.   Most towns and cities in Tuscany have a “Zona a Traffico Limitato” (ZTL), where cars are not allowed to transit without a permit. The fine for entering one of these zones is high, so make sure that you plan where to park in advance and walk into the city; the information is widely available online. Some notable cities with ZTL are Firenze, Siena and Pisa. If your hotel is inside a ZTL, let them know in advance that you will be arriving by car and they will arrange the permit for you; normally at no extra cost.

Question

Average weather and temperatures in early September

Answer

The weather in Tuscany in early September it's usually mild. It’s likely to be warm, with lots of sunny skies, but not too hot as the average high temperature dips a few degrees to 27°C / 81°F. You may need a light jacket for mornings and evenings – the low-temperature averages 16°C / 59°F at this time. In general, you’ll mostly need to pack warm weather attire, along with a few items for cooler weather.

Question

Covid rules to enter in Italy & attend the wedding

Answer

Update August 2022: there are currently no Covid rules for weddings in Italy! We will do our best to keep everyone updated on the COVID-19 restrictions that apply to enter in Italy, but we advise that you keep an eye on official government information (yours and Italy's). You can follow Italy's ministry of health's rules in this website (available in english): https://www.salute.gov.it/travellers/ Here you can fill out a questionnaire to find out which rules apply to you when travelling to Italy: https://infocovid.viaggiaresicuri.it/returningtoitaly.html
