We both had been working in valet parking for the Grand Sierra Resort for some time. After expressing a mutual desire to learn Country Swing Dancing, Gabe researched and booked a dance class for us. However, upon arrival, we realized what he had booked was actually a Ballroom Swing Dancing class. When we were finished giggling at the mix up, we tried our best and ended up having a wonderful time. After the class, we watched as the regulars (many of whom were very spry senior citizens) twirled around us during the free dance portion. We talked about how wonderful it was that they were still so active, doing the things they loved. Both of us came to the conclusion that we never wanted to stop trying new things in life. We have been inseparable ever since!

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Gabe booked us a horse drawn sleigh ride in Lake Tahoe. We had both always wanted to go on one, but never quite got around to it. The sleigh tour took us out onto the beach at Sand Harbor. The weather was unusually warm and wonderful for a March day, which ended up being very nice as neither of us were cold. We went out onto the beach to take pictures, and for the last pose Gabe dropped down onto his knee. I said yes without hesitation. (I actually almost said "YEP!" due to excitement) We then had an intimate, romantic dinner at the Big Water Grille with a stunning view overlooking the lake. Throughout our relationship, we have visited Lake Tahoe many times. We both would easily agree it is one of our favorite places God created. If it didn't already, Lake Tahoe will now forever hold sentimental value for us.
