Laura's go-to park for picnics and bench reading. "New York is my city, Tompkins Square is my piazza"
Laura's favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood
Our go-to place for soft serve and deep-fried oreos. A neighborhood mainstay! Say hi to Ray (pictured above) if he is there!
Best bagels in the neighborhood. Pick some up and eat them in Tompkins Square Park. Laura loves the french toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese for a treat and Gabe is an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese guy. Can't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich either.
Home to Laura's favorite brunch meal - Huevos Diablos!
Laura has spent many hours working on the Mezzanine and used to work with the market vendors at a previous job.
Staple of the East Village coffee scene
Laura's favorite bodega. Incredible sandwiches! Laura loves the Pho 10 and used to buy her Christmas trees here when she lived on 5th Street
Laura's favorite Italian place. Get the little meatballs.
Gabe and Laura love Greek food. This place is a go-to for celebrations. Best cheesecake Laura has ever had!

Go-to burger spot with a great backyard
The best burger in the neighborhood - think In-n-Out
Home to Laura's new office, Chelsea Market is a food hall and shopping destination. Stop in for a bite or a wander on your way to the Highline!
One of Laura's favorite adaptive reuse projects, the Highline is a park built on elevated train tracks. A must-see, but usually quite crowded.
Legendary Jazz Club
Before the pandemic, this was Fat Cat, and the new place is hoping to carry the tradition forward. It's a scene and a dive - open all hours of the night, with ping pong and pool tables - this is where village Jazz Musicians to go jam for themselves after they're paying gigs.
Vibey Jazz club where we like to mark special occasions.
THE BEST FREE THING IN NEW YORK CITY. Take the ferry at sunset for great views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.
