FAQs

The Wedding Website of Maya M Sherer and Gabriel J Thomas
It's a big day for us all, so we want you comfortable and prepared for the festivities to come!
Question

Ceremony?

Answer

We will be taking part in a Jewish wedding lead by Rabbi Jonathon Aaron of Temple Emanuel and additional officiation conducted by Yaya Sherer. If it is your first time experiencing a Jewish Wedding, we recommend perusing this article to better familiarize yourself with what you may see: https://www.brides.com/jewish-wedding-traditions-4783360 We still plan on adding the modern twist of making it our own, but plan to honor with reverence the ancient traditions passed down from generation to generation. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding the specifics of this holy day. ***Kippot/Yakamas/Head Coverings will be provided for the event, though not required for both individual preference as well as this being conducted off Synagogue grounds.

Question

Atmosphere?

Answer

This will be an indoor wedding at the theatre itself with (weather granting) buffet food served on the outside patio with tables, chairs and bar indoors in the lobby. We will be updating this information as people RSVP, weather is updated and Vendor confirmations are finalized.

Question

Parking?

Answer

There is a paid lot connected to the theater and a parking structure nearby that includes 4 hours free with theater validation. Please do not park in any spots that are specifically for other businesses as the meter maids are circling the area on weekends. We recommend carpooling, Ubering or setting alarms if parking in a limited time space.

Question

Travel?

Answer

We know lots of you are flying or driving in to the area so we went ahead and set up some of our favorite local stops to make for your time away from home. go ahead and click the 'Things To Do' section on the website banner!

Question

Gifts?

Answer

Your company is the ultimate gift and we are so excited to receive your presence for our personal celebration! Please remove the pressure to invest a hearty sum to our nuptials and come as you are most comfortably able to join. A gift can be given pre-picked via this website or of your choosing in person the day of the event. If you would like to peruse our registry, we have made it fit anyone's financial means and included a few funds we would appreciate monetary support for. ***We DO NOT lose anything or pay a fee should any funds not be met/gifts not be purchased. Disregard any concern if you don't see any set goal reached, as the nature of a gift is without expectancy or requirement.***

Question

Karaoke?

Answer

We are having two karaoke slots in our event. One is closed for performers of our choice (sort of a speech section) and the second is open for whomever wants to grab the mic as we wind down. Reach out to us with song requests! We love to hear your voices!
