RECEPTION - MV Skansonia Please wear black-black tie. Black tuxedos, black suits, black jumpsuit, black gowns, black and sparkly - whatever black outfit makes you feel fancy (white shirts okay)! The reception is primarily indoors though there is an outdoor deck for taking in the views and hopefully watching fireworks - so bring a jacket! CEREMONY - St. Monica Catholic Church Please wear your reception attire or "Sunday best" if you wish to change after the ceremony.
Please Uber/Lyft or carpool TO the reception. Parking is limited, and we want you to party like it's the last night of the year! We will have a return shuttle service FROM the reception to the Bellevue Club Hotel. Please express your interest via your Reception RSVP.
Drive, carpool, or Uber/Lyft - there's plenty of parking.
Everyone visiting or who calls Seattle home is welcome to stay at our hotel room blocks! Some other fun areas to get a hotel are downtown Seattle and downtown Bellevue. If you're Airbnb-ing, the Fremont, Queen Anne, South Lake Union, Green Lake, Capitol Hill, and Ballard neighborhoods of Seattle are real nice.
There are unfortunately other scheduled masses at St. Monica's before our reception time.
The MV Skansonia is a retired and refurbished Washington State Ferry that is permanently docked on Lake Union in Seattle. You can see all of downtown, including the Space Needle, from the bow (weather permitting).
~12 miles (20 minutes) - we scheduled plenty of time for you to get there though :)
Yes - all children are welcome! Please RSVP that you are bringing your kid(s).
No! All of our guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Hopefully! The City of Seattle hosts a firework show over the Space Needle (weather permitting) and we should have an excellent view of it at our reception.
Yes - it's a Catholic Sacrament after all!
Yes! Kevin's jazz piano teacher, @willfulkersonmusic, will grace our reception with some of our favorite tunes before the DJ takes over.
