We met on Bumble... and the rest is history!

HER VERSION Well we met on Bumble, so I made the first move with a simple "hi". Our first date was at Old Stove in Pike Place Market. After, he walked me home and I locked myself out of my apartment. This should have been his first sign to maybe reconsider. I wasn't sure if he would text me (I never text first but that's another story), but to my delight 2 days later he texted saying "I really meant it when I said we should see each other again". So we went on our second date, a hike. At the time he told me he liked hiking which I later found out was a lie. After our second date ended, 2 hours after, he texted me and said " I have a crazy idea, what are you doing tonight?" and just like that we were on our third date -which sorry parents is where we shared our first kiss over McDonalds ice cream. From that point on, we were pretty much together all the time. We have built a beautiful life together filled with traveling, skiing, living a few blocks from my family, taking care of our little squish Kona, supporting each other in our careers, and going out to eat way to much even though we always promise next week we will eat dinner at home more. I cannot wait to continue to grow together with Kevin as my partner, closest confidant, and sometimes biggest annoyance. I am eternally grateful for this life and happy each and every day. HIS VERSION It all began when I received a Bumble notification with the message "hi". It wasn't capitalized and her mysteriousness, but mostly her cute pictures, good job, and clear love of family, motivated me to respond. I initiated our first date and we met for drinks at Old Stove Brewing near Pike Place on April 16, 2021. My interest immediately spiked when I saw her smile and sparkly blue eyes. I nearly fell out of my chair when she said she temporarily minored in musical theater! We hit it off but Gabby still needed her family's blessing if she was going to seriously date me. I met all seven of her immediate family members and significant others at their favorite restaurant, Thai Grill. They immediately made me feel welcome and I knew it was a great match. Mitch (brother), Dan (brother-in-law), and I had a height-off and I won - which was a good confidence boost though Mitch won the quad-off. Gabby continued to see me after this dinner so I accepted their implicit blessing. A few months later, we made it official and Gabby accepted my ask to be boyfriend/girlfriend at my favorite Seattle Italian restaurant - Pasta Freska (RIP, it closed soon after COVID). We grew closer and more in love - traveling, eating, gym-ing, movie watching, and cuddling our dog Kona (7lb Chorkie). We got engaged Oppenheimer's opening nigh-I mean July 21, 2023 at my family's cabin in Yosemite (thank you Mom and Dad). And now here we are - planning and hosting a wedding with the love and significant support of our parents, family, and friends! I am beyond excited to marry Gabriella Taylor Sturgill, the love of my life, and continue our life together <3
