There are plenty beautiful hikes in the Roanoke area. One's we recommend are:
Roanoke River Trail (easy), Sharp top (moderate), Devils Marble Yard (strenuous) and McAfee Knob (strenuous).

Hiking

There are various wineries and breweries in the area. If you want a beautiful view we recommend Valhalla Winery. If you would like to stay downtown we recommend WellHung Winery, Big Lick Brewery, Three Notch'd, Twisted Track, or Golden Cactus.
