FAQs

The Wedding Website of Darbi Ruff and Eric Haug
Concerned about what to expect on our wedding day? Maybe we can clear some things up!
Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Semi formal attire! Just make sure you wear the right shoes so you can break it down on our dance floor.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather may bring us some rain and potential storms. Whatever happens, we are planning to still have our ceremony outdoors under the covered pavilion as long as it’s safe, so please dress accordingly!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both are taking place at The Wilds! Our ceremony will be outdoors under a covered pavilion and the reception will be indoors/outdoors. 6483 Kent Rd Bloomington, IN 47401

Question

What will happen after the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom's families will be taking pictures under the ceremony pavilion. We ask that guests enjoy cocktail hour indoors or on the patio during this time.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The Wilds is located at 6483 Kent Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401. Your phone GPS should take you directly to the venue, but should you get lost, there are signs along Kent Rd to help guide you.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony so we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation specifies how many seats we reserved for you, so please reference that to decide if you can/want to bring a guest. We ask that you please stick to this number since it impacts our food, drink, and venue accommodations.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

The Wilds has plenty of free parking for all our guests behind the building.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Due to the majority of our guests living in or near the Bloomington area, we did not reserve a hotel block. However, we recommend the following hotels in Bloomington area (25 minutes away) if you are needing a place to stay: Hampton Inn: 2100 N Walnut St Bloomington, IN 47401 Home2 Suites: 1410 N Walnut St Bloomington, IN 47401 There are also many options for AirBnB and VRBO in the Bloomington and Nashville areas. We highly recommend checking them out and booking early if you're interested.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue has designated handicapped parking for easy wheelchair access.

Question

Will there be any vegetarian/gluten free options for dinner?

Answer

Yes, dinner and dessert will have some options for our vegetarian and gluten free eaters. If you need this option, inform the catering staff of your dietary needs when you go through the buffet.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Because we did not reserve a hotel block, we will not have shuttles to/from the venue for all guests. We ask that guests do not rely on Uber, Lyft, or other car ride services to be available at the end of the night due to the location of the venue. Please plan ahead and drink responsibly to ensure that everyone gets home. If needed, you may leave your vehicle at the venue and plan to pick it up before 10am on Sunday.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Check out our "Registry" page for more information.
