People have told us before that we "have chemistry", but ironically enough, we met in Chemistry class in high school! We were good friends for over a year but looking back, there were clear signs of something else brewing. Eric remembers the flirty wink I gave him during his graduation, while I recall the sweet, sarcastic text that Eric sent to reconnect with me the following school year. Our love started as two friends simply talking to one another about our days but soon enough, it blossomed into so much more. We officially started dating in March 2015 We both think we were crazy to start dating when we knew a long distance relationship was in our future... But look where we are now!

Eric and I both knew that an engagement was coming up... we'd discussed it and planned to get married. But Eric still found a way to surprise me and create the most thoughtful proposal. Knowing about my love for farm animals, he scheduled a surprise "birthday gift" at a close family friend's farm. We showed up that morning and I was thrilled when I saw the dog, cow, and goats (oh my!). The dog, Leo, was his wingman for the moment... I was on the ground playing with him and when I turned around, Eric was on his knee proposing. He told me he was too excited to wait any longer! Through the happiest of tears I said YES and we celebrated with a picnic of PB&J sandwiches and champagne. ...and the rest is history!

Eric and I both love drinking craft beer and going to new breweries (and old favorites!). We like the bitterness of hops, the malted taste of barley, and the refreshing tang of classic lagers. While we have our favorites (him with an IPA and me with an Amber), we still surprise one another when ordering in public or picking up selections at the store. When life throws you curveballs and a long day finally ends, we both enjoy sitting down with a cold beer, our best friend, and our sweet pups. For all of these reasons and more, Eric and I plan to have a Craft Beer themed wedding. We cannot wait to bring a romantic, rustic touch to our favorite pastime. So bring your hops to the dance floor and your thirst to the bar... we will be celebrating Haug style!
