The earlier, the better! We understand life happens though, so please try to aim for at least three months prior to the wedding date - June 29, 2025.
Due to venue limitations, we can only accommodate children from immediate family and the wedding party. If you are allotted a plus one, it will be specified on your invitation and when you RSVP. We appreciate your understanding.
We haven't set a precise time for our wedding since it's still a year away. As the date approaches, we will provide updates for our guests.
We are coordinating with our wedding planner to arrange shuttle bus services between our venue and the following hotels on our wedding day: Hotel Mahaina Wellness Resort and Ala Mahaina Condo Hotel so please consider booking a room there. Alternatively, it is advisable to drive your rental car or catch a ride with another guest to our venue.
Do you even know us?! Of course! Dinner, side dishes, drinks, and non-alcoholic options will all be available for our guests!
Please contact Aaron and I immediately if you have any dietary restrictions.
We have not created a gift registry. Your presence at one of the most significant days of our lives all the way out here in Okinawa is a gift in itself. If you'd really like to contribute, please consider donating to our honeymoon fund. You can contact Aaron and I for more information!
We strongly recommend obtaining an international driver's license so you can rent a car as it is the most convenient way to explore the island. Cab fares can be costly, and our venues are approximately an hour's drive away. If you cannot rent a car, we can assist in connecting you with other guests who are also looking to share a ride / willing to carpool.
Please make sure you have a proper phone plan. You can see if your carrier has options for international usage, buy a physical sim card or an e-sim while in Japan (your phone must be unlocked for this), or purchase pocket wifi. Learning basic Japanese words will also be beneficial for your trip!
Google Translate, Google Maps, Waze, LINE (most popular messaging app), and GO (taxi app). If you plan on visiting Tokyo or any of the other mainland cities, I'd recommend Suica as well in case you are using the subways.
Generally, no. The only places tattoos are not allowed to be displayed at are private beaches and onsens, and coverups can be purchased in case you really want to explore these areas. Otherwise, it's not a concern!
