Question

Which nights should I plan to stay on Kiawah Island?

Answer

At minimum, we recommend reserving Thursday, May 4th and Friday, May 5th. Many family and friends are planning to stay for the week to enjoy Charleston and Kiawah Island.

Question

To bring bebe or not to bring bebe?

Answer

The kiddos are not invited to our wedding, alas. They are, however, welcomed and encouraged to join the welcome party and beach hang. Kiawah is family friendly and they will love it.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the wedding venue?

Answer

You can drive to the venue, however, we will provide a bus service and if you plan to indulge in our craft cocktails, we strongly prefer you climb aboard.

Question

Talk to me about my outfit.

Answer

You could say our dress code is semi-formal but it would be more accurately described as a bohemian garden party meets groovy disco. Extra points will be awarded to guests who embrace color and texture. Note that the vows and reception will be hosted outdoors and you should leave the stilettos at home. Feel free to join the bride by going barefoot. Lowcountry weather in May could be a breezy 70 degrees or steamy 90. The dance floor will be smokin' and breathable fabrics are recommended. OHHHHHWEEE.

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

The welcome party will be hosted at Papa Bronzo's golf club and jeans are not permitted. We recommend a sun dress or slacks. Golf shorts and polo shirts are totally acceptable.

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

To our fellow celiacs and lactose intolerant brethren, you're in safe hands. If you have another dietary restriction, you will be fed and given a hug. Please share your dietary restrictions with us via your RSVP.

Question

WOW! An animal! What do I do?

Answer

We are taking a page out of Kiawah Island's guide to answer this one: Kiawah Island is home to a wide variety of birds, animals, and plants. The following is a simple list of things you can do to help protect our island wildlife and the environment: Stay out of bird nesting areas and the dunes, walk around groups of shorebirds on the beach, drive cautiously on the island, especially at dawn and dusk, keep your dog on a leash (Ask Mike about off-leash areas), DO NOT APPROACH, FEED OR HARASS ALLIGATORS, do not approach, feed, or harass all other wildlife

Question

Do I need to make reservations for The Spa at The Sanctuary, dining, tennis or golf?

Answer

Yes, we highly recommend making these reservations early.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes, we recommend renting a car because Ubers and cabs are not available on the island. Car rentals and returns should be arranged from the Charleston Airport. We use https://www.autoslash.com/.
