Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We have been calling our wedding Hill Country Cocktail attire, which may include cocktail dresses or dressy jumpsuits with lots of florals or bright colors and suits with lighter hues and a fun tie (though a tie is not required). Of course, you are encouraged to wear cowboy boots, hats, and bolo ties. Most importantly, we want you to wear something you feel comfortable in. Our wedding will be partly outdoors in April in Austin, which can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the weather a week or two before the event. Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. When you go to RSVP, you will see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your kids, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our venue for the ceremony and reception. Please refer to the 'RSVP' tab to see if we are able to accommodate your children. If we are unable to accommodate your children for the wedding festivities on Sunday, we’ve partnered with Babysitting Connection to make arranging care for your kids seamless and stress-free. Sitter Rates: $18–$20/hour (paid directly to the sitter). New rates starting 1/1/25: $20/hour for up to 2 kids, $22/hour for 3–4 kids. To reserve your sitter, please email Paty Araujo paty@babysittingconnection.com.

Question

Will the festivities be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, we will be doing our ceremony and cocktail hour outside and our reception inside. Our rain plan is to hold all events indoors.

Question

It looks like the venue is 20 - 30 minutes from downtown, how do we get there?

Answer

We will be providing shuttles from the hotel to the venue and back at the end of the evening. There is free parking at the venue if you choose to drive yourself.

Question

Do I need to rent a car in Austin?

Answer

A rental car is convenient but definitely not required if you are willing to use Uber or other rideshare services. The hotel block we've reserved is downtown, with easy access to parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. We'll be participating in Shabbat-friendly activities within walking distance of the hotel on Saturday for anyone who would like to join us, and shuttles will be provided on Sunday for the wedding.

Question

Is the food at the wedding kosher? Can you accomodate other food restrictions?

Answer

We will have certified kosher food available upon request when you RSVP. For those who eat non-kosher dairy, we will have non-kosher dairy and vegetarian options available for appetizers and dinner. Please feel free to reach out to weissfrankelwedding@gmail.com and let us know of any other accommodations needed.
