Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Given the busy tourist season in the summer in Santa Fe, the sooner you can RSVP, the better, so that we are able to help everyone find accommodations! At the very latest, we'd request that you RSVP by Tuesday, April 1st, 2025. Please keep in mind that if you wish to stay at La Fonda, the deadline for reserving in our hotel block is Monday, May 19th. If you are able to book sooner than that, we are able add more rooms to the reservation block.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd suggest Cocktail attire for our ceremony and reception, have fun dressing up! Confused on what Cocktail attire means? Think of snazzy cocktail dresses, sleek jumpsuits, chic suits, or a nice blazer & bolo tie. Feel free to embrace the vibrant colors of the Southwest (terracotta, turquoise, goldenrod, coral). The wedding ceremony will take place outside in the late afternoon, and the reception/dancing will take place inside the adjoining room to the outdoor terrace, with open-air side doors. The temperature is typically in the high 70s-80s in June in Santa Fe, but can cool down at night, and it is also usually quite sunny in the mountains, so throw in a pair of sunglasses & shawl/wrap!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Our venue - the La Fonda on the Plaza has an attached parking garage, which can be accessed from San Francisco Street, and is $30 for the day. Metered street parking is also available, and public parking lots ($12 max. per day) can be found at the Water Street Municipal Lot, Railyard Municipal Garage, Sandoval Municipal Garage, Santa Fe Community Convention Center Municipal Garage, and Railyard Surface Municipal Lot. La Fonda is a 5-20 minute walk from most of the downtown-area hotels, if you are traveling without a car.

Question

Are kids welcome at the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Yes - If you received an invitation that was addressed to "The Smiths", or "The Smith Family", or "Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Family" - this includes your children. Please be sure to RSVP with all of the names and ages of the children that will be coming with you. Please note that some invitations are addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Family", which may also refer to adult children & spouses - please don't hesitate to reach out with questions regarding the invite if you are unsure.

Question

Is there transportation to and from hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Our reception and ceremony are taking place at the same location - La Fonda on the Plaza. Since La Fonda is located right on the Plaza, and the majority of other hotels are in walking distance, or a short drive from the Plaza, we will not have a shuttle from La Fonda to any other hotels. If you require assistance getting to and from the ceremony, please let us know and we will do our best to help coordinate a carpool with our local family/friends. If you need help with transportation from The Albuquerque Sunport, Santa Fe Regional Airport, or Lamy Train Station, please refer to "Groome Transportation" under the Travel Section.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

When you receive your invitation, please select the meal preference on your RSVP card for all members of your family attending. We are doing our best to offer several meal options. If you have a specific food allergy or concern, which is not included in the meal preferences listed, please let Francesca or Josh know. There will be a Children's Menu option (most likely pizza or chicken tenders).

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are so excited to have you join our special day and your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, and we are so incredibly thrilled & honored you're making the trip to Santa Fe to share in our joy. There is absolutely no pressure to provide us with any type of but if you insist on giving a gift, we would appreciate contributions towards our honeymoon fund to Italy next summer 2026, which can be found on our "Registry Page."

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

On Friday June 20th, we will be having a welcome toast from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the atrium lobby of La Fonda, please join us for a drink if you are getting into town on Friday! On Saturday, June 21st, there will be a ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing - you can expect the event to last from 5:00pm - midnight. On Sunday, June 22nd, we will have a Farewell Breakfast at The Bell Tower Bar at La Fonda to wish you well on your journey home!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. Guests are welcome to start arriving at La Terraza at La Fonda at 4:30pm, and are welcome to arrive at La Fonda before 4:30 to explore the hotel & shops prior to heading upstairs to the terrace at 4:30. Live string music will be playing from 4:30-5:00pm while you find your seats. Saturdays during the summer in Santa Fe can become busy with tourists - please ensure to leave enough time to find parking and/or explore around La Fonda, so that we are able to start at 5:00pm.
