Transportation Options in Lyons
Answer
Lyons is a small town and the Uber/Lyft options are not the best. We suggest grouping up with other guests with a designated driver, choosing a hotel/Airbnb within walking distance, or scheduling an Uber/Lyft beforehand. Guests are allowed to leave cars in the parking lot overnight, however cars must be picked up no later than 10:00am the following day (Saturday, 8/17). We will have shuttles available for pickup in Estes Park and the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Longmont- details on pickup location for both to come soon!

Answer
Lyons is a smaller town, however there are Airbnb and VRBO options and a small handful of hotels/motels. Estes Park is about a 30-minute drive from Lyons, however it is a mountain pass with some intense switchbacks and steep inclines/declines. Travel to Lyons
Answer
Lyons is about 60-90 minutes from Denver International Airport (dependent on traffic/time of day). Lyons is about 20-40 minutes from Boulder (dependent on which part of Boulder/traffic/rush hour). Lyons is about 20-30 minutes from Longmont (dependent on which part of Longmont/traffic/rush hour). Lyons is about 60-90 minutes from North/central Denver (dependent on traffic/rush hour). ***You may either take Highway 36 through Boulder, or Interstate I-25 to Highway 66*** For more specific directions from your hotel/AirBnB/DIA/major highways, we always encourage using either Apple Maps or Google Maps. Parking
Answer
There is a spacious parking lot adjacent to the venue, as well as a parking coordinator. Cars are allowed to stay overnight, however must be moved by 10:00am on Saturday, 8/17. Any cars left on the property after that are subject to towing!

Dress Code
Answer
No need for tuxes or formal gowns, we're thinking more of a cocktail attire type of evening! Because it is an outdoor event with all sorts of different terrain, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes (stilettos not encouraged) as well as a light/medium jacket for after the sun sets!

Weather in Colorado/Lyons
Answer
The answer is- nobody ever knows with Colorado! Although Colorado is known for it's beautiful blue and sunny skies, we can experience *literally* every kind of weather within a 24-hour period. And yes, even in August! We suggest bringing a light or medium jacket for when the sun sets over the mountains. The daytime can be hot, however please plan for cooler temperatures in the evening!

Lyons Noise Ordinance
Answer
Currently, the town of Lyons is in discussion regarding a noise ordinance of 5:30pm- but we should hopefully have more answers by January! As of now, the rules are the following: Unfortunately, the town of Lyons has a very strict 5:30 noise ordinance, therefore we cannot have amplified music past 5:30. However, we will have a silent disco later in the night!

Wildlife for those out-of-state!
Answer
For those traveling out of state/not used to Colorado, we are in the mountains and yes, there is an abundance of wildlife. This includes elk, deer, black bears, mountain lions (rarely), fox, coyotes, and your other little forest critters. Especially at night (even in towns such as Lyons or Estes Park) there can be quite a few black bears. Take Molly's personal experience from working/living in Estes Park- these bears are very used to humans, so be sure to pack your trash, lock your car doors, and don't leave any food out!
